Psychodiagnostika v personální psychologii / Psychodiagnostic in Personnel PsychologySchmidtová, Ivana January 2012 (has links)
This thesis addresses the use of psychological assessment in personnel psychology and practice, specifically the relationship between selected personality characteristics of medical representatives in relation to their work performance. In the theoretical part, the selected methods of psychological testing of personality traits used in personnel psychology, with the focus on the Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire 16 PF, are desribed. It also deals with the performance appraisal and attention is paid to assessment of employees in a broader context, the most frequent rating errors and the key methods of individual and group performance appraisal. The empirical part deals with the research that examines relationship between the personality characteristics of medical representatives working in a multinational pharmaceutical company to determine whether the most successful workers differ in personality traits from the lowest performing individuals, and what personality characteristics of the profession are exhibited. Keywords: personnel psychology, personality tests, sixteen personality factor questionnaire 16 PF, performace appraisal, medical representative

Hudba a osobnost / Music and personalityZamastilová, Hana January 2012 (has links)
The goal of this work is: (a) to present knowledge of the foreign researches on personality of musicians in the arranged form in Czech language, (b) to realize the research carried out in the past under different cultural conditions in modified form in our country, (c) mutually compare the result of this research and the foreign researches, (d) to summarize the conclusions and to establish questions for the further investigation. Artists and other creative individuals evince specific personality characteristics differentiating them from the other people. Among these individuals are also artists in the field of classical music. This work yields a basic information about the difference of the specific personality characteristics of musicians and people who are not involved in music. It sums up existing knowledge on this topic and it creates internally consistent profile of an artist in the field of classical music. In the quantitative research we aim to compare population of conservatory students (n = 57) with the control group - students of grammar school (n = 49). Data of their personality characteristics were obtained with help of Cattel's personality questionnaire 16 PF. Discriminant analysis pointed to differences in five primary factors and one secondary factor of 16 PF. Conservatory students...

Kvalitativní analýza laického popisu osobnosti podle morfologie tváře / Qualitative analysis of laic personality description on the basis of facial morphologySouhrada, Jan January 2015 (has links)
This study examines spontanneous, laic personality ratings of face in comparison to following questionnaires: 16 PF, EPQ-R, NEO-PI-R. We've focused on how people spontaneously rate personality from face in relation to traits which are examined by said questionnaires. We tried to discover which traits are part of questionnaires but not included qualiative ratings and vice versa which traits can be found in laic descriptions but not in questionnaires. We used data from previous studies which provided us with two independent data, self-reports and ratings of facial photographs. Ratings were sorted out and compared to questionnaires. Most of the traits from qualiative data were also included in NEO-PI-R, specifically 90,4% of traits from self-reports and 82,90% of peer reports. 16 PF covered 88% and 77,81% of traits, EPQ-R 86% and 75,94% respectively. The least covered factor overall was Self-Reliance (16 PF) which included only 0,4% of all traits from self-reports. We have not found any factor which would be completely neglected in qualiatitve descriptions. Atractivity and physical traits were one of the main traits among those left unclassified. As with atractivity itself there was wide range of traits that we are unsure of how much personality relevant they actually are. Among unclassified traits...

16-PF as meetinstrument vir dir keuring van opvoedkundige sielkundiges / The 16-PF as tool for the selection of educational psychologistsLessing, A. C. (Anna Christina), 1947- 11 1900 (has links)
Summary in English / Research was conducted to determine whether the 16-PF can be used as an objective
measurement for the selection of prospective educational psychologists. A wellgrounded
literature study was performed about the task of the educational psychologist
and skills and personality features which make the task of the educational psychologist
easier. The task of the educational psychologist is not of an individual nature, directed
at individual problems any more, but covers a wide field which demands that the
educational psychologist comes forward with new initiatives. The traditional task of
diagnosing, assisting, administrating and conducting research must be extended to one
which also emphasizes proactive programmes, mental health, prevention of problems
and human development. The nature of the task makes high demands on the
educational psychologist and requires the mastering of a variety of skills.
A large variety of factors have been found in literature which could make the task of the
educational psychologist easier. These factors can be grouped together as cognitive
factors, factors which contribute to the creation of an educational climate and
accompanying interpersonal relations and rapport, factors which indicate the use of an
external reference framework, and factors which indicate mental health. These
identified factors were related to the factor patterns of the 16-PF and were derived to
personality factors. These latter factors which were thus obtained, were used to compile
a personality profile for educational psychologists.
The following personality profile for educational psychologists was derived from the
literature study: outgoing (affectothymia; A+), high intelligence (B+), higher ego
strength (C+), higher superego strength (G+), socially venturesome (H+), shrewdness
(N+) and self-assuredness (0-). According to literature, withdrawal (A-) and dominance
(E+) are regarded as negative features of the educational psychologist.
The personality profile was assessed by experts with the use of the Delphi technique.
From the results of the Delphi investigation it appears that the experts support the
suggested personality profile. The personality features are regarded as extremely
important, and comment on the personality profile was positive.
The findings of the research contribute to the solution of the problem around the
selection of educational psychologists since an objective assessment of the prospective
student's abilities can be obtained by means of the 16-PF. / Psychology of Education / D. Ed. (Sielkundige Opvoedkunde)

An in-depth exploration of the personality structure of adult female psychiatric patients with a history of childhood trauma by utilising personality assessmentLuther, Roxanne 02 1900 (has links)
The experience of complex childhood trauma produces a ripple-effect that psychologically impacts trauma survivors’ functioning in multiple areas. The aim of the current study was to investigate and describe the interplay between complex trauma, subsequent personality development and later psychopathology by means of the multiple case study method of six female psychiatric patients attending treatment at a tertiary psychiatric hospital within Gauteng, South Africa. This was accomplished by assessing and qualitatively analysing the results of a carefully selected battery of personality and other psychometric assessments presented to study participants. The results indicated that the experience of complex childhood trauma impacted the study participants’ personality in predictable ways, which further influenced the psychopathology they displayed as psychiatric patients. These findings aid in describing the psychological impact of complex trauma on the research participants, and also offers support for reconnecting past traumas to the current psychopathologies of psychiatric patients. / Psychology / M.A. (Clinical Psychology)
