Malé náměstí v Hradci Králové. Ke vzniku a vývoji veřejných prostranství ve středověkém městě. / Malé náměstí in Hradec Králové. To the Formation and Development of Public Spaces in the Medieval Town.

Záveská, Daniela January 2016 (has links)
In 2006, the reconstruction of the canalization lane and paving at Malé náměstí of Hradec Králové induced a salvage excavation of such an extent that has not been surpassed so far. Trenches discovered evidence of the development and changes in the function of the explored space during the High Middle Ages. There were found several phases in the surface reinforcement of the main street that connects the town with the Slezské suburb. The oldest surface treatment of the street can be dated as far back as the 13th century. In the second half of the 13th century, a build-up area developed alongside the road and it ceased to exist during the first half of the following century, at the latest. The cleared-up area was later transformed into a public space. Its historical development is reflected in a series of layers of reinforced surfaces. The research results confirm and refine the previously stated hypothesis concerning the development of the eastern part of the town.

The result of this analysis points to the fact, that there are a lot of archaeological tourist destinations in this region. The most attractive ones are presented in this thesis in the form of a tour guide intended for the general public. An opinion poll was coducted as part of the thesis. Based on the poll we can assume that the general awareness of archeology and archaeological tourist destinations in the Ústí region is at an average level. It is safe to say that the public attitude towards archeology is generally positive. Czech castles are especially popular among the archaeological tourist destinations. Vývoj a struktura osídlení severozápadních Čech v raném středověku / Development and structure of early medieval settlement in northwest Bohemia

KRAUS, Miroslav January 2017 (has links)
The thesis summarizes and subsequently describes and evaluates contemporary knowledge, development and structure of early medieval settlement in the northwestern part of the Czech Republic. Emphasis is placed on the spatial relation of settlements and burial grounds to local selected features of the natural environment, which is evaluated on the basis of graphical representation and statistical processing in individual periods of czech early Middle Ages. The spatial context and the distribution of the settlement in the landscape are also evaluated. Spatial settlement properties are processed into catalogs and are handled in GIS and statistical tools. The resulting model is rather of a general nature because it is the first comprehensive treatment of the early medieval settlement in this part of Bohemia and is thus discussed from a methodological point of view.
