Využití pedologických metod v archeologii

Hladký, Jan January 2012 (has links)
Soil studies can reveal how humans in prehistory used the landscape and defined space through their activities. However, these new approaches do not wholly address persistent problems associated with making inferences about past human activity from soils. These challenges include:equifinality; distinguishing property--process relationships; identifying anthropogenic soil processes; the interdependency of the soil forming factors. This paper reviews a new approach to an archaeological research. This approach includes chemical and physical analyses of soil samples. With help of these analyses we can evaluate a past land use, a past natural processes and we can found a buried cultural layer. This approach can be used as a guide to ensure that a rigorous and reproducible approach is taken to the study of soils at archaeological sites. In tis study, the impact of human activity on the pedological environment of soils of the archaeological site Mikulčice-Valy was investigated and use of soils for archaeological use is discussed. Soil samples were collected from five probes (VII. kostel) and from three probes (knížecí palác). These soil properties were investigated: pH, amount of P, Mg, K, Fe and Ca, loss-on-ignition, conduction, texture analysis and physical analysis of sampel.

Geochemický a geofyzikální průzkum archeologické lokality (Hradiště Praha - Vinoř) / Geochemical and geophysical prospection of an archaeological locality ( (Hillfort Prague - Vinoř)

Novotná, Žaneta January 2017 (has links)
SUMMARY: The diploma thesis is focused on application of natural science methods - geophysics and above all geochemistry - in archaeology. Geophysical and geochemical techniques have become an integral part of non-destructive archaeology over time. While geophysical methods have been practiced in a wide array of archaeological surveys for many decades, geochemical methods have been used to a greater extent up to in recent years. In addition, the application of geochemistry in archaeology is, in most cases, limited only to the analysis of phosphates in soil applied to small spatial units. The potential of geochemistry in dealing with archaeological issues remains still unused due to the limited understanding of the context. This is also reflected in the absence of publications that would allow a good-quality interpretation of geochemical data in connection with archaeology. Geophysical and geochemical procedures were applied during the survey of the selected area in the locality of Hillfort Vinoř, located on the northeastern outskirts of Prague. The aim of this survey was to contribute to the widening of the existing knowledge of the locality with an emphasis on the wider context. Two methods were chosen for the geophysical survey - dipole electromagnetic profiling (DEMP) and electrical resistivity...

ARCHEOLOGICKÉ MUZEUM - PŘESTAVBA AREÁLU HRADIŠTĚ SV.HYPPOLITA VE ZNOJMĚ / THE ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM - REBUILDING OF ST.HYPPOLITS AREAL IN ZNOJMO

Šikula, Martin January 2014 (has links)
The aim of the diploma thesis was to design new campus at Hradiste St. Hyppolita in Znojmo. At present, a part of this area is owned by the Foundation of St. Hyppolita, which is an organization engaged in archaeological research in this area. Thus, the main idea was to create a new campus, which should be used not only for research, but also for the presentation of the discovered artifacts and, last but not least, as a popular tourist activity. Furthemore, it was required that the new campus completes the existing urban structure of the village and creates new conditions for the its development, which is considered as out of order and economically disadvantageous territory now. The result was overall redevelopment of the part of village. There were placed the objects such the museum, the research institute, the Foundation's headquarters and the commercial accommodation with catering possibility. Urban design responds to the current and the historical context and thanks to the involvement of many significant green elements, there was created a quiet public place too.

Evidence a analýza terénních tvarů reliéfu a jejich vztahu ke středověkým hradním areálům / Antropogenic landforms identification and analysis of their relation to medieval castles

Sýkora, Martin January 2018 (has links)
This Thesis focuses on the anthropogenic geomorphology in the vicinity of eight selected castles in the Bohemia region. The first part of study gathers information about already known archaeological features in the castle areas or hinterland. The first step of the survey uses LIDAR data combined with both historical and contemporary maps. Next, a surface survey helped to prove the existence of selected archaeological features, mark their location and get their written description and photographic documentation. Thanks to the information collected this way, we can possibly interpret former use of the features, as well as their origins in relation to the existence of the castle itself. The last part evaluates efficiency of the used method and reflects of the state of the examined castles areas and surroundings. Key-words: Medieval archaeology - Non-destructive methods - LIDAR - Castle - Anthropogenic landforms

[fr] PARCOURS DE LA MÉMOIRE: RÉCITS AUTOUR DU PATRIMOINE AU MUSÉE D ARCHÉOLOGIE D ITAIPU / [pt] PERCURSOS DA MEMÓRIA NARRATIVAS SOBRE PATRIMÔNIO NO MUSEU DE ARQUEOLOGIA DE ITAIPU

MARIA DE SIMONE FERREIRA 28 November 2017 (has links)

Keramika sektoru 20 na Džandavláttepa / The pottery of sector 20 at Jandavlattepa

Včelicová, Tereza January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this work is to classify and analyse the ceramic assemblage of the sector 20 - so-called Citadel - of the site Jandavlattepa in the South of Uzbekistan. This settlement in historical Bactria was inhabited in its latest phase by the Kushans. The here presented pottery was discovered by a Czech-Uzbekistan expedition during the years 2002-2006. This work presents the history and environments of the site in order to enable a complex understanding of the pottery assemblage as a whole, in relation to its contexts. The pottery fragments are divided into the groups according fabric, shapes and forms. The decoration types are also accentuated. All these features help to compare Jandavlattepa with analogical sites of Central Asia from the same period.
