Phytochemical study of A. dasycarpum resulted in the isolation of 26 substances, 9 of them quinolizidine alkaloids: homo-6-epipodopetaline, acosmine, acosminine, dasycarpumine, bowdechine, panascomine, a mixture of lupanine and lupanocosmine and 24-methyl-homo-6-epipodopetaline, the later reported for the first time in the literature; two styryl α-pyrones: 12-O-desmethylyangonine and 12-O-βDglucopyranosyldesmethylyangonine; two triterpenes: lupenone and lupeol, the later in large amounts; a mixture of steroids: sistosterol, campesterol and stigmasterol, and a chlorogenic acid: 5-O-cafeoilquinic acid. It was also isolated 2,3-dihidrobenzofuran derivatives: bowdenol and a mixture containing eight fatty acid esters of bowdenol, bowdenyl myristate, pentadecanoate, palmitoleate, palmitate, margarate, linoleate, oleate and stearate esters . The investigation of the methanol extract from the of roots of Acosmium dasycarpum using GC-MS, led to detect 30 quinolizidine alkaloids: α-isosparteine, β-sparteine, 5,6 dehydrosparteine, sparteine, ammodendrine, 4-hydroxysparteine, N- methyl angustifoline, lupanine, aphylline, multiflorine, homo-6-epipodopetaline, 18-epipiptanthine, piptanthine, podopetaline, ormosanine, homosweetinine, homoormosanine, homo-18-epiamazonine, homopiptanthine, homo-18-epipiptanthine, homopodopetaline, lupanocosmine, dasycarpumine, dasycosmine, acosmine, panascosmine and acosminine, santanine, isodasinine, dasinine and dasycosmine, the last four are compounds are reported here for the first time. It has been suggested a possible biogenesis for the quinolizidine alkaloids with lupine, acosmine and diazo-adamantane skeleta. / O presente trabalho relata a identificação de alcalóides quinolizidínicos (AQ) além de outros metabólitos secundários não alcaloídicos encontrados nessa planta, e tece comentários sobre o provável caminho biossintético de alcalóides quinilozidínicos. O estudo fitoquímico resultou no isolamento de 26 substâncias sendo 9 alcalóides quinolizidínicos: homo-6- epipodopetalina, acosmina, acosminina, dasicarpumina, bowdequina, panascomina; mistura de lupanina e lupanocosmina e 24-metil-homo-6-epipodopetalina, esta ultima é nova na literatura, duas estiril pironas: 12-O-desmetiliangonina, 12-O-βDglicopiranosil demetiliangonina; dois triterpenos: lupenona e lupeol, este em grande quantidade e a mistura dos esteróides: sistosterol, campesterol e estigmasterol, além do ácido clorogênico: ácido 5-O-cafeoilquínico. Foram isolados também o derivado 2,3-diidrobenzofurano: bowdenol e uma mistura contendo oito ésteres de ácidos graxos de bowdenol: miristato de bowdenila, pentadecanoato de bowdenila, palmitoleato de bowdenila, palmitato de bowdenila, margarato de bowdenila, linoleato de bowdenila, oleato de bowdenila e estearato de bowdenila. O estudo do extrato metanólico da raiz da Acosmium dasycarpum utilizando CG-EM, permitiu identificar 30 alcalóides quinolizidínicos: α-isoesparteina, β-isoesparteina, esparteina, 5,6 diidroesparteina, amodendrina, 4-hidroxiesparteina, Nmetiangustifolina, lupanina, afilina, multiflorina, homo-6-epipodopetalina, 18- epipiptantina, piptantina, podopetalina, homo-6-epipodopetalina, homoormosanina, ormosanina, homo-18-epiamazonina, homo-18-epipiptantina, homopodoetalina, homopiptantina, lupanocosmina, dasicarpumina, acosmina, panascosmina, acosminina, santanina, isodasinina, dasinina e dasicosmina, as quatro últimas são substância inéditas. Foi sugerida uma provável biogênese para os alcalóides quinolizidínicos com esqueleto lupínico, diaza-adamantano e acosmínico.
