Esta dissertação procura comparar a mídia exterior das cidades de São Paulo e Buenos Aires. Para tanto se vale de métodos e procedimentos interdisciplinares de duas grandes áreas: geografia e comunicação. O objeto de estudo é compreendido no contexto do desenvolvimento das cidades e, dessa forma são apresentados elementos mínimos sobre os processos de desenvolvimento urbano e posteriormente as principais questões relativas ao tema no período contemporâneo. Na cidade de São Paulo a mídia exterior foi proibida no ano de 2006 enquanto Buenos Aires, embora possua complexa legislação, apresenta grande quantidade de mídia exterior em sua paisagem. Ao analisar profundamente os tipos de painéis, as normas e os atores, se elencam os principais paradigmas contemporâneos sobre a temática nas cidades em questão. Relacionando essas questões de modo comparativo conclui-se que existem evidências que tanto as normas para existência quanto para inexistência da mídia exterior podem priorizar interesses pessoais, de grupos empresariais locais ou internacionais. Em São Paulo, sob o discurso da cidade limpa e em Buenos Aires sob a premissa da criação de uma zona de turismo a partir de uma região repleta de painéis em Led (Times Square Sul-americana) os governantes criam meios e métodos para validarem seus interesses. / The aim of this work is compare outdoor advertising of the cities of Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Buenos Aires (Argentina). For that relies on interdisciplinary methods and procedures of two major areas: geography and communication. The object of this study is understood the context of the development of cities and thus minimal elements are presented on the processes of urban development and subsequently main issues relating to the theme in the contemporary period. In Sao Paulo the outdoor advertising was banned in 2006 while Buenos Aires, even having a complex legislation, features lots of outdoor media in your landscape When you do a thorough analysis of the types of panels, the rules and characters, if we list the major paradigms in contemporary cities on the topic in question. Combining these issues in a comparative way it is concluded that there is evidence that both the rules for existence and for lack of outdoor media can prioritize personal interests, business groups locally and internationally. In São Paulo, the discourse of Cidade Limpa (clean city) and in Buenos Aires under the premise of creating a tourist area from a region full of Led panels (the Times Square of the South America) governments create means and methods to validate their interests.

This research study put together was based on whether marketing media strategies have an effect on consumption.The purpose of this investigation would provide alternate methods of improving product advertising and client service in the consumer market, as well as influencing the advertising and marketing industry.Marketing media strategies provides a series of tactical actions, which are applied during strategy sales of the product and create awareness in the market amongst the consumer. This will provide an organization with an opportunity to concentrate on the scarce amount of resources and energies available,to apply the best approachfor utilizing these resources, to efficiently target the consumer market.
The research approach utilised is the quantitative method, which involves a non-probability sampling technique and a descriptive research type. The research tool implemented is a questionnaire, which consists of two sections, a profile of the participant and the survey section. The survey section explores the perceptions of these participants relating to the awareness of the marketing media strategies and how consumers perceive brands and media consumption in the market currently. Questionnaires were selected based on a high response rate when distributed to respondents. It also provides a possibility of anonymity because the respondent’s names are not required on the completed questionnaires. This research tool wasdistributed in Gauteng and Kwa-Zulu Natal to random consumers,media and marketing strategists and people in different professions. The method in which the questionnaire was distributed provides an insight on how people in the market perceive advertising of brands and influences their consumption. A consumer’s insight on advertising would be based on a shopper influence compared to a professional individual who would create a strategic insight. Information in this study was collected from primary and secondary sources, which consist of books, internet sources and past dissertations.
From the findings which were collected during this study, it concludes that marketing media strategies play an instrumental role in consumption. These strategies provide a foundation for brands that are advertising and competing in the market, by tactically targeting the consumer market. Consumers’ value advertising in the market, as it provides a guideline before a purchase decision is made. Advertising also serves as a direct method of communicating the emotional and functional benefits of brands and products. Individuals make purchase decisions, which would improve their lifestyle based on emotions; therefore marketing media strategies serve as an awareness mechanism in the market, and drive education to the consumer about the product. The outcome of this study will serve as a guideline for future marketing and media strategists.
The key findings gathered during this study states marketing media strategies play a substantial role in brand life and consumption; it allows organizations to focus more on limited resources and energies available and to utilize these resources to their best ability to gain competitive advantage and drive sales in the market which contributes to a higher share of volume and market leadership. The topic of the diploma thesis The role of advertising in the life of pensioners dedicates to czech pensioners and deals with an individual aspects of their relationship with advertising. The first part of the diploma thesis deals with the theoretical concent, which desribes the audience from the general perspective, history, new media and selected researches. The next chapter focuses on the pensioners themselves. I try here to define the basic concepts that are associated with them in terms of sociology and lifestyle of this older generation. The space is also devoted to the consumer beviour of pensioners, which is influenced by certain aspects of their lives. There is also a chapter about advertising and individual advertising media because of context the diploma thesis. Based on the examples of controversial commercials, it deals with relationship between advertising and society. With the use of qualitative research methods the author examines how the contemporary society is reflected in the communication of controversial commercials and whether our society is affected by them. For clarification purposes, this diploma thesis first identifies relevant terminology and sets the difference between key concepts, ie., advertising and controversial commercials. Moreover, the theoretical part of the thesis deals with the mutual relationship between advertising and society. Instagram is one of these social networks, whose popularity is still growing. Another of the platforms, which was primarily created to connect people with each other and make it easier for them to communicate with each other, is now, thanks to its demonstrable potential to reach many people, an advertising space that advertisers use extensively. preference of consumers in the Transkei. The results are of special
significance to media planners and advertisers in so far as they
will assist in the media selection process. This in turn will form
the basis of improved marketing communication between media
planners and advertisers on the one hand and Transkeian consumers
on the other.
The media types investigated were newspapers, magazines, television
and radio. The results indicated that three newspapers (Daily
Dispatch, Intsimbi and Imvo), three magazines (!bona, Pace and
Orum), one television channel {TV 2 - now CCV-TV) and one radio
station (Radio Transkei) are extremely popular among the majority
of Transkeians. The research results also indicated that the
following topics are very popular in all the media types: local

Diploma thesis "Cellulite as a social phenomenon: Analysis of Czech Press" deals with the topic of origination and development of a conception of cellulite as an illness and defect to the beauty in Czech press and also deals with constructing of this phenomenon in present time. The aim of the study was to analyze and show how the conception of cellulite, thanks to which a normal physiological fact changed into a defect to the beauty and to an illness, was developed and medialized, by using a brief quantitative analysis of Czech press as a whole, a brief quantitative analysis of the research sample and consequently a qualitative analysis of this research sample. Hereafter the aim of the diploma thesis was also seeking of an answer to a question to what extent cellulite is an construct created by advertising industry and manufacturers of cosmetic devices and products, which is abusing and supporting normative imaginings of ideal female body and beauty.
