Based on sources such as newspapers, photographs, statutes and documents of associations formed by afrodescendants, we perceive a political reconfiguration of the city and new ways of experiencing the public space by african cultures. Different associations (clubs, blocks, cords, ranches and samba schools, cacumbi groups, religious brotherhoods, soccer clubs, black communities) mobilized efforts for the literacy of their members or impoverished popular groups, noting that in this period, in the space of political instances, many men and women of african origin. In this way, we seek to understand how these associations articulated solidarities and sociabilities of afrodescendant populations in the midst of the new political and cultural conjuncture of Florianopolis, based on the reformulation of political elites and the changes in the configuration of the Republic, especially with the New State / A presente pesquisa propõe apreender sociabilidades e solidariedades em agremiações organizadas por afrodescendentes em Florianópolis/SC entre 1920 e 1950. Com base em fontes como jornais, fotografias, estatutos e documentos de associações formadas por afrodescendentes, percebemos uma reconfiguração política da cidade e novas formas de vivenciar o espaço público por parte das culturas de matriz africana. Diferentes associações (clubes recreativos; blocos, cordões, ranchos e escolas de samba; grupos de cacumbi; irmandades religiosas; clubes de futebol; comunidades negras) mobilizaram esforços para a alfabetização de seus membros ou de grupos populares empobrecidos, ressaltando que neste período emergiram, no espaço das instâncias políticas, muitos homens e mulheres de origem africana. Desse modo, buscamos entender como estas agremiações articularam solidariedades e sociabilidades das populações afrodescendentes em meio a nova conjuntura política e cultural de Florianópolis, pautada na reformulação das elites políticas e nas mudanças de configuração da República, em especial com o Estado Novo
