Konstruktion av en surdegsvagn till bageriproduktionZelic, Dani, Hjelm, Markus January 2017 (has links)
This thesis involves the process of designing a wagon for the company Majgården AB, a company working with bakery production. The used method follows mostly Fredy Olsson´s (1995) work process using Principle Design as well as Primary Design in order to design a final concept. Initially, in the beginning of the thesis, it was analyzed how the product will be used and in what kind of environment. The analysis allowed a definition of requirements that the product needs to fulfill. Next step included extracting different product sketches that could be used as possible solutions. The solutions were compared against the requirements and a final, optimal concept was chosen to continue the work with. The final sketch was then further improved. The design of the final concept was then fully finalized with help of a 3D program.

Avgasreducering : Att leda bort avgaserna från dieselvärmaren vid besiktning.Nilsson, Kent, Johansson, Elias January 2017 (has links)

Concept development of a fixed sonobuoy launcher : A study to examine the feasibility of applying concept development methodology to solve an industry related problemJohansson, Oskar, Dahlgren Bjuhr, Anton January 2019 (has links)
Is it possible to apply concept development methodology to solve a real industrial problem? This study will examine if this is possible. Saab has ordered a concept which allows launching of a sonobuoy from a pressurized aircraft cabin, this is a perfect opportunity to test this theory because it is a real system with technical demands to ensure robustness and safety. The system needs to be operated in tight areas which is the reason no launcher available will be used, they do not fulfill this demand. There are also a number of demands that the concept needs to fulfill which must be ensured during the concept process. It is not common when developing a component that a thorough and systematical concept development process is carried out at Saab. Therefor it was interesting to see how it would work with a Saab related product. The concept development process was carried out thoroughly by researching known methods within the subject. It was decided that the process would not follow a singular methodology because there where no process that suited this study perfectly. The process used was decided to be parts from different literature where methods that suited the concept at the current state would be used. This was performed differently depending on the current state of the concept. For example the product requirement process were established in a different way than the concept generation because they are different, one is mostly gathering facts while the other is mainly a creative phase. Regardless of the step in the concept development process the objective was to always use some sort help from the methodology. A combination of lacking experience with the technical area and applying concept development methodology towards a industrial problem slowed down the process. The final concept were not as developed as the plan was from the start. To perform each step required more research than what was intended and some steps became an iterative process which also took time from the actual development. However, the actual process of setting up requirements, generating ideas and evaluating concepts should also be regarded as deliverable for this study. It is material that can be used for future development and this concept where never intended to be a finished design which mean it is useful material for the future. To use concept development methodology for this kind of projects is recommended based on this study. Foremost when the experience of the system is limited, it ensures that the solution space and requirements are examined more than it would have without the process. It also helps with decision making and when discussing a concept within the group which could lead to an agreement which it might not would have without the methods.

Knowledge Base Engineering Design Methodology and Integration with PLM System Part FactorySingh, Shivansh January 2019 (has links)
Companies are trying to decrease product expenses while customizing product according to customers requirements. So to satisfy the customers’ requirements, companies must adapt their business to mass customisation. Mass customization final product goes through all flexible company production technology process, which can lead to being expensive and time-consuming and because of this, a product configuration system is developed to reduce product cost and reduce time. The primary focus of this thesis is to develop a KBE prototype using constraint-based techniques of product configurations. For developing KBE implementation of UML/OCL, XML, Backtracking search is used. Then prototype expert configurator is developed using OCL constraints.

A Guideline for Conducting Form Analysis of Branded Products : The Development of a Design Guideline Framework for Product-Producing Companies in a Brand Management ContextCastillo Ellström, Oskar, Andersson, Tomas January 2019 (has links)
This thesis presents the research and development of a framework for creating design guidelines, aimed towards product-producing companies as a part of a brand extension strategy. The thesis answers two research questions: RQ1: What strategies could be used to analyze visual form and product design as a part of a brand extension strategy for a product-producing company? RQ2: How can an existing visual brand identity be utilized during the product development process and redefined for new product categories? The thesis is divided into a literature review and a case application of the presented theories on a real-world product development process. The literature review includes three central frameworks. Firstly, a theoretical framework including theories regarding brand management, product design and form, design syntactics and product architecture is introduced. The theoretical framework also includes product modularity which is specifically included for the case application. These theories are used to create a form analysis framework, which is the second element of the literature review. The third element of the literature review is a framework for how to create design guidelines, based on explicit and implicit design features. The design guideline framework is built from insights and theories found in literature used throughout the literature review. The case application focuses on the development of a new concept and design guidelines for a modular Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) for a case company. The case application utilizes the created theoretical frameworks for a real-world product development process. The created concept envisions the visual brand language of the case company, while also serving as the foundation for the design guideline development. The form analysis framework is used to understand product design and form on already existing products within a product category. A total of six analyses are introduced, all with their own respective focus on different fields of study and area of application. The form analysis framework investigates three areas of application: Internal and external factors as well as the existing product family of a company. Applying the form analysis framework to the case show that these methods are suitable for analyzing the visual form of products. By examining the internal factors of the case company, such as analyzing existing products and prior design guidelines, a format for key design principles can be created. Based on these design principles and insights from the form analysis, the visual brand identity can be transferred to a new product category and described through redefined design guidelines. Findings show that certain design features, such as color and usage of logotype, are the most suitable for acting as identity carriers. Utilizing these can bring cohesiveness to a product portfolio. It can be concluded that the use of explicit and implicit design features is a viable way to holistically describe and articulate product design.
