In this context, the guidelines for Science Teaching contained in Political-Pedagogical Proposal of Youth and Adult Education, in the city of Goiânia Goiás was analyzed with the purpose to verify whether and how the same contemplates the Approach STS. The methodological approach was developed along the lines of Documentary Research. For the construction of the data was used to Content Analysis, which allowed the preparation of five categories: Education, School, Science Teaching, Educational Action and Student. The interpretation of these categories has allowed us to see that the methodological, political and ethical issues contained in politicalpedagogical proposal of Goiânia are consistent with the Approach STS, unlike the epistemological aspect. The discussion of the results obtained enable us to make notes concerning the Initial and Continuous Training of Teachers; the importance of Science Teaching through the Approach STS in Young people and Adult Education; as well as the reflections necessary for the insertion of the Approach STS in the Brazilian educational context. / A Abordagem CTS tem sido defendida como uma alternativa facilitadora do Letramento Científico-Tecnológico frente aos problemas enfrentados pelo Ensino de Ciências. Neste contexto, as orientações para o Ensino de Ciências contidas na Proposta Político-Pedagógica da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA), do município de Goiânia Goiás foi analisada com o objetivo de verificar se, e como, a mesma contempla a Abordagem CTS. A abordagem metodológica foi desenvolvida nos moldes da Pesquisa Documental. Para a construção dos dados foi utilizada a análise de Conteúdo que possibilitou a elaboração de cinco categorias: Educação, Escola, Ensino de Ciências, Ação Educativa e Educando. A interpretação dessas categorias nos permitiu constatar que os aspectos metodológicos, éticos e políticos contidos na Proposta Político-Pedagógica de Goiânia são coerentes com a Abordagem CTS, contrariamente ao aspecto epistemológico. A discussão dos resultados obtidos permite fazer apontamentos concernentes à Formação Inicial e Continuada de Professores; à importância do Ensino de Ciências por meio da Abordagem CTS na EJA; bem como às reflexões necessárias à inserção da Abordagem CTS no contexto educacional brasileiro.
