Soudobá ilustrace, východiska, principy a jejich uplatnění v rámci výtvarné výchovy / Contemporary illustration, bases, principles and their application in art education

Janitorová, Magdaléna January 2018 (has links)
My thesis investigates contemporary illustrative art and tendencies occurring in the work of the youngest generation of the Czech illustrators. My objective is to bring an overview of the current forms, shapes, applications and overall state of the contemporary Czech illustration scene. The paper divides the illustration art into four categories, that are then more closely examined in individual chapters. My major focus is on the book illustration in all its current forms. This thesis contains regulatory principles that govern the standard of published illustrated materials through various recognised competitions and awards. I mention different associations and clubs that are currently active in the field of developing contemporary illustration. This occurs not only through grouping of illustrators but also through organising different events and festivals. In the didactic part this paper deals with the role of illustration in child development, specifically its natural artistic expression. This part also includes proposals of teaching materials and curriculum focused on illustration where I introduce my own designs. This appendix follows the above structure and constitutes my own project delivering authorship of visualised illustrations.

Dialog literárního textu a obrazu / Dialog of the text and image

VESELÁ, Markéta January 2016 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the dialogue between two dissimilar forms of art: text and image, criss-crossing within one work of art. The point of interest is the exact moment of their encounter, which opens an interesting intermediary field for the litterateur as well, which I define and explore in the theory chapter. I aim to find possible tools for analysis, examine changes in perception, and the capacity of the semiotic base.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Cador_AmirBrito_M.pdf: 5314798 bytes, checksum: d2c1706a04dae3edfedb4e8aeaf78d01 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2007 / Resumo: A pesquisa mostra a convergência de práticas e estudos a respeito do livro. Palavras-chave: artes gráficas, livro de artista, arte contemporânea, tipografia, caligrafia, poesia visual / Abstract: This research work proposes a convergence of practices and studies about books. It includes my production in visual poetry, graphic design, typography, calligraphy and artist¿s books. The text organization, in seven chapters, follows a personal rule: it was established by a reasoning constructed by visual parameters, and also a relation with other artists and poets production. The word plays different roles in the text: sometimes it is an illustration, sometimes a commentary or explanation for an image and the way this image relates to the word. The group of selected artist¿s books were produced in the last years. This group of works reveals a construction process, a route to relate image and text to make a book. The development of an idea, an image, a detail¿ a glimpse in a book that originates other books. Key words: graphic arts, artists' books, contemporary art, typography, caligraphy, visual poetry / Mestrado / Mestre em Artes

Políticas estéticas e ocupações poéticas: uma genealogia (im)possível a partir do concretismo brasileiro / Aesthetic politics and poetical occupations: an (im)possible genealogy from the Brazilian concretism

Nogueira, Fernanda Ferreira Marcondes 09 March 2010 (has links)
What potentiality still remains concrete poetry? What can allow it to continue to intervene in the present? By re-establishing their link with constructive art tendencies emerged in Brazil since 1950s, and taking concrete poetry as a multidimensional experience, we expose some of the conflicts inscribed in the politics of aesthetics of concrete poetry political project to put forward a different genealogy which is not based on its formal analysis only. Rather, how those radical aesthetics pervades the social structure, the public sphere, the common and the mass communication medium, echoing through the alternative artistic networks. We also point out some discussions that have been attempting to constitute or demarcate concrete poetry in an opposite way of its motives that subvert definitions and bring down the temporal frame of literary historiography. In this way, the first section proposes a macro-political panorama of this poetry production, in the following sections, some different ways of micropolitical resistance are emphasized.

A identidade visual da Coleção dos Cem Bibliófilos do Brasil, 1943-1964 / The visual identity of Cem Bibliófilos do Brasil Collection, 1943-1969

Gisela Costa Pinheiro Monteiro 12 June 2008 (has links)
This paper deals with the visual identity of a book collection without a graphic project with a repetition pattern between then. The collection, in question, is from the Sociedade dos Cem Bibliófilos do Brasil, edited by Raymundo Ottoni de Castro Maya, in the decades of 1940 and 1950. The contribution of this paper to the design is the reflexion on which considerations of visual identity are necessary to design, in this case, a book collection. However, it extends to the others graphic design areas
