_______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The theoretical structures of a field can be considered knowledge practices. Due to their specific characteristics, each of these knowledge practices has it’s own visibility modes of speech that attach sense and give meaning to their interests. As a result, often enough the methods and methodologies of a field configures its research objects and transforms knowledge into a legitimate and institutionalized discourse. The place of Sociology of Art amongst other theoretical structures can be an explosive issue if it doesn't establish a fruitful dialogue with other traditions of artistic knowledge (Aesthetics, Art History and Art Critic) and, if it doesn't consider the artistic in itself, not solely an object of research, but as a theoretical Praxis structure with its own predicates. With the intent to infect Sociology of Art with poetic procedures of the Visual Arts, this research sets up its existence as a sensitive thing that perceives the everyday as a fragment of the instant. This research sought to deploy an autopoietic analysis of a visually hybrid practice entitled pangrafismos panfletários and how this can operate other possibilities in different formats of printed and digital media.

O corpo neutro / -

Barrocas, Filipe Miguel dos Santos 01 December 2015 (has links)
E ela, ainda criança nestas imagens, é agora mãe do autor. Ele lê no verso do retrato dela: \"Vimeiro 1968\". É a costa ocidental portuguesa. Ilha granítica situada no oceano Atlântico, a meia dúzia de milhas do Cabo Carvoeiro. No horizonte do Vimeiro, onde o avô ensinou a criança a nadar. / The author explores the referent\'s neutral body in the photographic image and the result of his research is this set of narratives, each one built from the family\'s portraits and the dialogue with other authors. He reads on the back of her picture, \"Vimeiro 1968\". It is the Portuguese west coast. Where the battle with the French was fought in the early nineteenth century and, it seems, his family\'s vacation destination. Expected and distant place, where fresh and salt waters meet and Saturno Island punctuates the horizon. Granitic island situated in the Atlantic Ocean, half a dozen miles from Cabo Carvoeiro. In the horizon of Vimeiro where the grandfather taught the children to swim. Event witnessed by the father\'s photographic apparatus and today testified by the pictures in the family\'s album. This holiday grandfather taught her to swim, father was photographer, grandmother cooked, and mother sewed a smile, had not she wept in Rocha do Conde de Óbidos when he boarded the packet Pátria, of Companhia Nacional de Navegação, on August 29, 1961.

O autor entre o sujeito: modos de subjetivação no fazer do livro de artista / The author between the subject: modes of subjectivities in the making of the artist\'s book

Alcântara, Cristiane Pereira de 04 May 2017 (has links)
Based on the premise that subjectivity is the author\'s place and based on the three domains addressed in Michel Foucault\'s work: Archeology, Genealogy and Ethics, we undertake an investigation about the subjectivities modes of artists, graphic artists and designers through the elements, as well as the relations of knowledge, power and the so-called self-care (the last as part of Foucault\'s thinking about the hermeneutics of the subject). It instigated us to understand the triggering factor for the establishment of subjectivities that seemed to occur from a web of conduct proper to those fields and created, therefore, around specific relations of knowledge and power. Thus, we extend this understanding of authorship, expanding it along with Immanuel Kant\'s notion of genius, which is based on the idea of the creation of rules and precepts. We introduced, in addition to this expansion, the foundations of Foucault\'s thinking around the discursive practices - which were used throughout the work, in order to promote an investigation of the subject, in the author´s position, and of what determines its elaboration of rules of discourse functioning. Thus, we aimed to investigate the subjects - artists, graphic artists and designers -, as authors, by their mechanisms of knowledge and their power relations, which was done from their subjectivities and their authority in creating rules of conduct. In order to understand the modes of constitution of the subjectivities of the author, based on these behaviors, we asked: what are the ways in which the author establishes rules for himself and for others? In order to delimit such problematic field, we divided this work in four chapters: the first two discuss the author\'s subjectivities modes from the Foucaultian domains linked to the relations of power and knowledge, and the third and fourth chapters use the domain of Foucault\'s work on Ethics, dealing with the socalled self-care. In the last chapter, we draw this reflection by the production of an artist\'s book entitled The book to come, whose purpose is to represent allegorically the space of discursiveness by means of a set of statements determined by juxtaposition, relations of power and knowledge and by the production of subjectivities.

Presente contínuo : reflexões sobre a serialização do inacabável

Luiz, Fabiano Mota January 2017 (has links)
The main aim of this text is to present an investigation provoked from the writing and reissue of the book 2013, from a new book production entitled 2015 and the material preparation for a third volume, called 2017. In this way, we will have the problematization of an undetermined serialization of publications contaminated by daily life and by the autobiography called Present Continuous. As a source of artistic research will be investigated – through image/text analysis and their flexible modes of intention - some poetic strategies already employed by different artists, such as Stephane Mallarmè, Edward Ruscha, Jonathan Safran Foer, Georges Perec, John Cage, Luiz Ruffato and Augustín Fernández Mallo. In order to deepen the theoretical framework, the writings of authors who problematize daily life, the writing itself, archival impulse and autofiction, such as Maurice Blanchot, Agnes Heller, Philipe Lejeune, Roland Barthes, Jacques Derrida, Judith Butler, and Henry Lefebvre were summoned. Finally, from the poetic process involved when we operate everyday, autofictional and archival elements to create nonlinear verbo-visual narratives in the form of books, we will discuss aspects of the artist as editor, the artist as curator and the artist as a researcher.

Paisagens permeáveis

Monteiro, Emanuel dos Santos January 2015 (has links)
Paisagens permeáveis it is a research about drawing from which rises a discussion about the way of looking at closess spaces (space of the house) that unfold over distances of outer space (backyard, nature), considering the material aspect of these situations. I call dialectic of space, this movement of interpenetration that is given from the look, and that runs through, as a concept and problem to be solved in the image environment, all the works presented here. The dialectical relationship between the near and the distant present in the preparation of images, combined with employed materiality and its apparent tactility, and the work of resorting to personal memories, family and finally, the memories of the matter of their own works, gives birth to permeable images that formulates landscape.

Albertoni, Fernanda Bernardes January 2007 (has links)
This research analyses the use of verbal narratives as fictional constructs by artists from the visual field, through the work of these artists and their documentation, particularly focusing in three aspects of these artist’s writings: as autobiographical, as biographical in relation to the historical world, and when the artist becomes the author of a particular art history. For investigating the subject it was selected a group of artists and artworks that could be considered representatives of these occurrences – as seen in writings from Sophie Calle, Lucas Samaras, Ad Reinhardt, Joseph Beuys, Robert Morris and Jannis Kounellis. The analysis explore questions as what would classifies a work of fiction within from the visual arts field instead of literary; why these artists chose this form of expression as medium for their significations; and how the verbal field influences the fictional in visual art.
