This study is to determine a sound industrial arts program which will meet better the needs of the students attending Carrollton High School and the community.

This is a study to determine an adequate course for ninth-grade industrial arts in terms of child needs, psychological possibilities, and social needs, as indicated by the ninth-grade boys in Bowie High School, El Paso, Texas.

This study was made to determine the philosophical contribution to the field of education by William Torrey Harris as set forth in his contribution to industrial arts.

The study of James Parton Haney is threefold in purpose. The first purpose is to study the life and educational background of Haney in order to gain an understanding of the man and his educational objectives. A second purpose is to gain an insight into Haney's philosophy of education, and the third purpose is to examine the available writings of Haney in an attempt to analyze his philosophy of industrial arts as a phase of general education.

The purpose of this study is to determine the public image of industrial arts education in Dallas, Texas. Information sought is obtained from interview schedules using random sampling techniques. The results of the study indicate that the public is not generally informed about industrial arts education. It is recommended that the public be informed as to the difference between industrial arts and vocational education. It is also recommended that more girls be introduced to industrial arts. It is further recommended that the world of construction and world of manufacturing be expanded.

The purpose of this exploratory study was to identify common practices of school-of-the-arts administrators and to determine if these commonalities differ from the practices of effective school leaders in general. A sample of administrators (n=92) completed a 3-part Likert survey based on the 21 attributes identified in the balanced leadership model. Five research questions guided this study which looked for both common and unique leadership challenges facing principals in schools of the arts. Prinicpals ranked the practices in order of importance. Although the statistical analyses revealed no significant differences among the variables of instructional levels (elementary, middle, and secondary), gender, or school grade designations, descriptive statistics as well as qualitative data found a number of emergent themes including principal outreach, principal advocacy, focus, flexibility, curriculum, funding challenges, and the commitment to being there(i.e., at the school). Based on the findings, a plus one model was developed illustrating the tensions across organizational management, instructional leadership, and artistic leadership, all of which must function simultaneously in order to lead a successful school of the arts. This project researcher designed, implemented and collected data on an integrated approach to writing instruction for her third grade students in the Etiwanda School District. The literature review showed the importance of teaching students the purpose for writing, the traits of writing and the process of writing. Research showed the effectiveness of teaching students the six traits of writing and the writing process as indicated by student writing achievement scores.

To understand and then express themselves in a correct and confident manner, learners need the correct terminology for Arts and Culture. The learners need more than the day to day terminology in order to participate in conversations focussing on specialised subjects such as music, dance, drama and visual arts. It is important to note that the idea is not to develop expert academics but it is an attempt to enrich children for life and give them more self confidence. The aim of this computer project is to provide an information website to assist the grade 9 learners in the Arts and Culture domain to develop the appropriate language needed in the learning area.

This is a study of the endocrine glands and their influence on the physical characteristics and behavior patterns of adolescents. The purpose of this study is not to present new ideas about the effects of the endocrine glands upon man, but to gather and present the information and data already available and to show how these glands of internal secretion affect the individual in his ability to participate in an educational program, with special emphasis on industrial arts.
