This study seeks to answer the following questions: 1. In what industrial arts subjects are the students interested? 2. What industrial arts courses do the teachers want in the Thomas A. Edison School curriculum? 3. What industrial arts courses do the parents want offered in the Thomas A. Edison School curriculum? 4. What benefits do the parents and teachers believe will come from an industrial arts program in the Thomas A. Edison School?

This study discusses a particular phase of industrial arts education, that of industrial arts design. It presents an analysis of design in the industrial arts program for the purpose of education for esthetic appreciation.

The purpose of this study is to make a survey of the teaching of handicapped children in the public schools of Texas to determine, if possible, the extent to which Industrial Arts is used in present teaching techniques as well as its importance in the future.

The purposes of this study are to survey the growth of safety concepts in industry and in school shops, to point out the fundamental factors involved in a functioning and worthwhile program of safety education in secondary schools, and to indicate safe practices to be followed by operators of machines in wood and metal shops in secondary schools in order to minimize to the utmost the possibility of accident in such shops, and to set forth a recommended procedure embodying a program of safety for wood and metal shops in secondary schools.

The purpose of this study was to collect and present data relative to the teaching of industrial arts in certain special institutions for physically and mentally handicapped children with a view to ascertaining (1) the need for additional industrial arts teachers, and (2), the needs of such teachers for special preparation.

The purpose of this study is threefold: (1) to review the literature concerning school interpretation programs and the industrial arts phase of the public relations program based upon research studies, opinions and recommendations of leaders in education and industrial arts education; (2) to gather data concerning current practices used in the industrial arts departments during the year 1953-1954; and (3) to analyze the data in order to determine whether the current practice of industrial arts interpretation coincide with the interpretation program recommended by leaders in the field of education.
