To reach this aim we sought to establish the proper connections among the three axes that we consider of extreme importance that are: The social issue, which according to our point of view is the central element of the relation between the profession of Social Work and the reality, considering that the object of work of the social worker deals with social issues in their multiple expressions; The Social Work as a profession registered in the social and technical division of work and the social assistant in the condition of an employee that, as any other worker, has to; sell his work force to survive, The entrepreneurial social responsibility understood as a management strategy used by the enterprises that in search of social legitimization use strategies that can embody new dimensions to their businesses, in other words, the social responsibility as part of an entrepreneurial rationality to keep itself in the globalized market. So, through these axis and the individuals testimonies (managers and social workers) who develop their profession in Mato Grosso enterprises, we try to develop this study, that is, the analysis of the social worker s performance in the practices of entrepreneurial social responsibility in Mato Grosso / Esta tese tem o objetivo de analisar a atuação do assistente social nas ações de responsabilidade social desenvolvidas pelas empresas de Mato Grosso. Para alcançarmos este objetivo buscamos estabelecer as devidas conexões entre os três eixos que consideramos de importância fundamental, e que são: - A questão social que, no nosso entendimento, se constitui em elemento central da relação entre a profissão de Serviço Social e a realidade, considerando que o objeto de trabalho do assistente social é a questão social nas suas múltiplas expressões; - A profissão de Serviço Social, enquanto profissão inscrita na divisão social e técnica do trabalho e o assistente social na condição de trabalhador assalariado que, como qualquer outro trabalhador, tem que vender a sua força de trabalho para sobreviver; - a responsabilidade social empresarial entendida como estratégia de gestão utilizada pelas empresas que em busca de legitimação social lançam mão de estratégias que venham incorporar novas dimensões aos seus negócios. Em outras palavras, a responsabilidade social como parte da racionalidade empresarial para manter-se no mercado globalizado. Assim, a partir desses eixos e dos depoimentos dos sujeitos (gestores e assistentes sociais) que desenvolvem sua atuação profissional em empresas no Estado de Mato Grosso, buscamos desenvolver o estudo proposto, ou seja, a análise da atuação do assistente social nas ações de responsabilidade social empresarial em Mato Grosso

The study takes, as its central point of reflection, the great structural and political changes experienced by the electrical sector in Brazil, specifically; in CESP. The rhetoric of the worker´s health quality programs has many social barriers, achieving its real impact in the health of the drug addicted workers. It is still a problem dealing with this demand within CESP, although it has been coming increasingly acceptable and natural. The Social Service acts with caution and ethics, avoiding prejudice and judgments either within the company's management setting as in the interpersonal and social relationships. The research was performed in the dependencies of CESP, in three of its sites: in the company's headquarters in São Paulo Capital, and in the hydroelectric plants of Paraibuna and Jaguari, both located in the Paraiba Valley. A questionnaire was applied as an instrument of research and, based on the results, we articulated the analysis among the context of the workers in the company, the gathered knowledge on the subject and the participation of the Union in the Prevention and Treatment of Alchool and Other Drugs Program. This research contributed to a better comprehension of problem´s extension in the company, that is, the increase of alcohol and other drugs utilization, and also to know how the employees, addicted or not, see the of the Social Service´s actuation. Contributed, as well, to develop a new coordinated plan, including new ways to lead and manage this and other programs to CESP´s employees / A presente dissertação tem como proposta analisar o processo da ação do Serviço Social no Programa de Dependência Química oferecido pela CESP - Companhia Energética de São Paulo, em parceria com o Sindicato dos Eletricitários da base de São Paulo, em 2006. O estudo toma como eixo central de reflexão as grandes mudanças políticas e estruturais vivenciadas pelo setor elétrico, especificamente na CESP. A retórica corporativa dos programas de qualidade de saúde do trabalhador passa por inúmeros entraves sociais, até chegar ao impacto real que é a saúde do trabalhador dependente de álcool e de outras drogas. Embora pareça cada vez mais aceitável e natural, ainda é um problema lidar com essa demanda no interior da CESP. O Serviço Social busca encaminhamentos e ações cautelosas e éticas, procurando evitar preconceitos e julgamentos tanto no âmbito da gestão da empresa quanto das relações interpessoais e sociais. A pesquisa foi realizada nas dependências da CESP, em três das suas unidades: sede da empresa em São Paulo, Capital; Usina Paraibuna e Usina Jaguari, ambas localizadas no Vale do Paraíba. Utilizou-se o questionário como instrumento de pesquisa e, com base nos resultados encontrados, procedeu-se à análise articulada, inclusive no contexto do trabalhador na empresa, ao conhecimento que se construiu sobre a matéria e à participação do Sindicato no Programa Prevenção e Tratamento de Álcool e de outras drogas. Esta pesquisa contribuiu para que se visualizasse melhor a extensão do problema na empresa - o aumento do uso de álcool e outras drogas e para se conhecer como os empregados, usuários de álcool ou drogas, ou não, veem a ação do Serviço Social na empresa. Contribuiu ainda, para se elaborar um novo planejamento coordenado, buscando novas formas de conduzir e administrar este e outros programas aos empregados da CESP
