Roštový kotel na spalování dřevní štěpky a kontaminované biomasy 50t/h / Grate Biomass Boiler

This master thesis deals with design of grate biomass boiler with 50 t/h power. A fuel of the boiler is a mixture of contaminated biomass and woodchips. The boiler produces steam with parameters of 4,2 MPa and 420 °C. Stochiometric and thermal calculations are based on given fuel composition and output steam parameters. Heat exchangers are designated in accordance with the calculations. General drawing of the boiler is attached to this document. Anti-corrosion measures are considered, due to chlorine content in biomass. Hydraulic and aerodynamic losses and dew point of the flue gas is calculated in the end.

The emphasis is placed on the preservation of the exsiting steam parametrs.

This master’s thesis deals with utilization of biomass for micro cogeneration. The theoretical part of the master’s thesis defines main terms of the master’s thesis, which is biomass and cogeneration. The practical part of the master’s thesis is focused on the design and manufacturing of small micro cogeneration unit based on a small membrane steam engine. It means design of two steam generators to produce steam for the membrane steam engine. It will be also carried out design and production of membrane steam engine which is fitted with a small BLDC generator including electrical part for power output and measuring parameters. It will be made several measurements with the steam engine including measuring power output characteristic of the steam engine and measuring loading characteristics of the generator.

Onward follow detailed calculations of particular heating surfaces. The output parametres are temperature, pressure and the amount of steam.

The topic of this thesis is the calculation of the steam-boiler. The begining of the thesis deals with stoichiometric calculations. In the second chapter is performed the heat balance of the boiler. In the fourth and fifth chapter are defined dimensions of the fire and is established the temperature of a combustion gas in the outlet from the fire. The fifth chapter includes the balance calculations of the particular heating surfaces of the steam-boiler. As a conclusion of the calculations of the steam-boiler is performed the total balance. In the last chapter are proposed the methods for a reduction of the quantity of NOx contained in the combustion gas.

For the parameters of the stoichiometric calculations are carried out and enthalpy calculations of combustion and air. The collected data is then made It a diagram of air and flue gas. The following are the calculations with the heat balance calculations of losses and determination of the boiler thermal efficiency of the boiler. It is made of the combustion chamber design and its thermal calculation. After determining the main dimensions of the combustion chamber moves continue the calculation of boiler heating surfaces. At the end of the calculations are controlling the overall energy balance. Boiler output parameters as temperature, pressure and quantity of the steam.

It proposes a variety of drying options for use of different drying media. In the end, an economic evaluation of the combustion system uses a belt dryer, and a system without any possibility of drying the fuel before it enters the boiler.
