Elektroninio verslo procesų modeliavimo metodų tobulinimas / Moleling methodology of e-business processes improvement

Simanaitytė, Kristina 29 May 2004 (has links)
Possibilities of Business Process Modeling Language and UML 2.0 are analyzed for definition of e-business processes. The advantages and comparison of these new languages are represented using auction process model in UML 1.4, UML 2.0 and BPMN. Lastly, structured process modeling methodology is represented. That will give business users the ability to make activity process model in the shape of a acycle graph, that is easy transformable to business process execution language BPEL4WS.

What we know and what we do not know about DMN

Mendling, Jan, Figl, Kathrin, Tokdemir, Gul, Vanthienen, Jan January 2018 (has links) (PDF)
The recent Decision Model and Notation (DMN) establishes business decisions as first-class citizens of executable business processes. This research note has two objectives: first, to describe DMN's technical and theoretical foundations; second, to identify research directions for investigating DMN's potential benefits on a technological, individual and organizational level. To this end, we integrate perspectives from management science, cognitive theory and information systems research.

Comparison of BPM Suites and Their Application in Enterprise Architecture / Comparison of BPM Suites and Their Application in Enterprise Architecture

Mach, Jiří January 2013 (has links)
The evolution of services oriented architecture and the centralization of services enable the expansion of business process management tools. The centralized solution for BPM brings more flexibility, and it also helps to build high-quality architecture. Currently there exist several solutions that support the BPM, and the selection of the proper tool can be difficult. Simultaneously, it is a rapidly growing industry which also brings several standards and principals. The main goal of my thesis is to help IT and business specialist with the selection and application of BPM into enterprise architecture.

Systém pro podporu procesů servisního střediska firmy Georadis

Zeman, Petr January 2015 (has links)
Zeman, P. System for process support in service center Georadis. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2014. This diploma thesis focuses on business processes and their modelling. It describes the process modelling language BPMN, that is used in the process analysis. The practical part of the thesis presents the company Georadis producing instruments for measuring radioactivity and models its business processes. Furthermore, the work deals with modelling and detailed analysis of process in service center, whose output is design of innovations. The thesis includes a comparison with commercial solutions from information systems market and application realization. At the conclusion there is a discussion about the economic evaluation.

En lämplig standard för affärsprocesser i ett system / A suitable standard for business processes in a system

Eriksson, Andreas January 2017 (has links)
The Business process management (BPM) market has grown a lot in recent years. To have a good and compatible BPM system (BPMS) the developer of a BPMS should constantly keep their system up to date. There are several different standards in BPM. Within BPM these standards cover different areas. The focus in this report is on the area of notation standards. Some other standards have also been analyzed and discussed. Several standards have been evaluated and one of these has been implemented in a workflow foundation (WF) environment to see how well the standard implements in a system. To select a standard, analysis and discussions have been performed. From this information a list of demands was created to match the existing standards. Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) was the best matching standard and was elected for an implementation in the WF. The conclusion is that BPMN is a standard that should be prioritized within the development of a BPMS. The standard did not map to 100 % in the test in this report. This is because of the limitations of the WF flowchart. To implement BPMN in WF it is necessary to modify separate elements and WF has proven to be hard to customize. To make the BPMS support the whole BPMN the recommendation is to build a separate workflow engine. This way all the elements can be implemented, and full control will be given over the flow in the application. An alternative is to work with an open source workflow engine to get the source code and thereby can modify all the objects.

Reengineering procesů podnikatele / Reengineering of businessman's processes

Sovka, Michal January 2011 (has links)
The goal of my dissertation is to make a businessman re-considering to work with the asssistence of IS for achievement of higher effectiveness of running processes. The main point of the businessman assistence is having their own IS. My dissertation is divided into two main parts. The first part describes the theoretical point of view of reengineering the processes of companies. At first I define the meaning of companie's process according to its categorization from its importance and usefulness point of view. According to this I have a proper look out to improving companie's processes and to development of processes in organization. The first part ends up with the methodical advance of modelling companie's processes and the description of notation used in the practical part. The second part of my dissertation is fixed on the solution of a factual problem. After identification of the problem I define and specify processes of a businessman which are more detailed simulated for their final analysis. At the end I propose a new usage of IS as the solution of found inefficiency and its impact on the changes of businessman's processes.

Evaluation of Service Composition Methods: Using Government Lands Integrated System as an example

Yu, Tao-Kang 05 February 2012 (has links)
As time and technology evolves, the applications of cloud computing increase in our daily life. SaaS enterprise applications also increase in business context. The success of the information systems in the cloud era relies on the proper selection and combination of Web Services. This is especially true for complex business processes, which often require effective and efficient way to reuse existing functions. Following the study in (Li Jianxiang, 2011), which proposes the model of General Service Pattern, we aim to evaluate the General Service Pattern model using real processes in land administration. The evaluation metrics include time and correctness. The study shows that the use of General Service Pattern significantly shorten the time required to construct land administration processes, when compared to the design from scratch and the design by providing similar processes. . The correctness of the yielded processes is also higher than the other two methods. We therefore conclude that General Process Pattern is a promising model.
