Malmö högskola: Fakulteten för hälsa och samhälle, institutionen för Socialt arbete 2015Arbetet syftar till att undersöka hur socialsekreterare upplever sin arbetsbelastning samt hur de hanterar arbetsbelastningen när den blir hög. Vi formulerade tre frågeställningar utifrån vårt problemområde: Hur upplever socialsekreterarna på socialtjänsten den rådande arbetsbelastningen? Hur hanterar socialsekreteraren den höga arbetsbelastningen? Upplever socialsekreteraren att man ibland måste prioritera vid en hög arbetsbelastning och hur gör man i dessa fall? För att besvara våra frågeställningar genomförde vi sex kvalitativa intervjuer med verksamma socialsekreterare inom försörjningsstödet. Resultat visar att socialsekreterarna upplever en hög arbetsbelastning som de uppger bero på dels den höga ärendemängden och antalet arbetsuppgifter per socialsekreterare men även bristen på socialt stöd och direktiv från organisationen. För att hantera den höga arbetsbelastningen uppger respondenterna att de använder sig av olika strategier för att bemästra arbetet. Resultat visar även att respondenterna upplever att prioriteringar är en del av arbetet som socialsekreterarna måste handskas med dagligen. Malmö University: Faculty of health and society, Department of Social work 2015.The study aims to investigate how social workers are experiencing their workload and how they handle their workload. We formulated three questions based on our research interest: How do the social workers at the social services experience the current workload? How does the social worker cope with the high workload? Does the social worker sometimes experience the need of prioritize during a high workload, how do they cope with it in these cases? In order to answer our questions, we conducted six interviews with social workers working with economic aid. Results show that social workers experience a heavy workload as they say is due partly to the high amount of cases and amount of duties per social worker but also the lack of social support and directives of the organization. To handle the high workload respondents stated that they use different strategies to cope with the work.
