Orphic Mythologemes in Marina Tsvetaeva’s Oeuvre

Savenko-Moore, Anastasia 23 February 2016 (has links)
This thesis explores Orphic mythologemes and tropes in Marina Tsvetaeva’s works in order to identify whether they create a personalized semantic system in her oeuvre. I review such themes as the “supernatural powers” of the archetypal poet, the descent to the underworld, the return from the dead, and the dismemberment and subsequent appearance of Orpheus’s head. I study in detail the trope of the severed head in Tsvetaeva’s poetics and her understanding of poetry as Land with its physical and metaphysical realms. I discuss a question: which persons might Tsvetaeva have associated with Orpheus? I examine the guises of the lyrical “I” and its associations with mythological or literary personae. I argue that Tsvetaeva demonstrated resistance and opposition towards the Orphic/Apollonian paradigms; above the authority of the "archetypal poet Orpheus" she introduced and established the authority of the Genius who leads "poets with a history."

Rehabilitace prostoru bývalých Jaselských kasáren v Brně / Rehabilitation Former Jaselsky Barracks Area in Brno

Stolek, Jan January 2012 (has links)
The subject of this thesis was to develop ideas about buildings in the former barracks set in Brno - Ponava. In the previous study, I designed urban system block development, which builds on the existing block structure of the environment and creates a lively mix of public, semi-public and private areas. The territory of the barracks is located between the streets and stall Štefánikova, among which is the difference in height of one floor - so I created a single-storey base, which I put into commercial space and underground parking. The base then grows a set of four houses - the street Štefánikova is oriented multi-functional building, which includes commerce, offices and apartments and offers residents a large common area balcony facing the courtyard. This house in volume creates a psychological barrier against noise and busy urban class and creating a peaceful environment inside the block. The three remaining houses are purely residential and the level of the courtyard are equipped with private atriums closable system. In the middle of the courtyard is a small park with mature trees and undeveloped corner serves as a children's playground.

Metamorfóza a tektonická pozice proterozoického kabulského bloku: zachovaní a modifikace krustálých fragmetů uprostřed orogenní zóny / Metamorphism and geodynamics of the Proterozoic Kabul Block: Preservation and modification of crustal fragments within an orogenic zone

Collett, Stephen January 2015 (has links)
The Kabul Block is a lenticular crustal fragment that, along with the Farah, Helmand, and Nuristan terranes, is situated within a tectonic zone known as the Afghan Central Blocks. The Afghan Cent- ral Blocks form within the collision zone between the Indian, Eurasian, and Arabian plates. The Kabul Block consists of a highly-deformed crystalline basement overlain by weakly-deformed Late Paleozoic- Mesozoic sediments. U/Pb SHRIMP analysis of zircon cores from the lowermost basement formations (the Sherdarwaza and/or Khair Khana) indicates the presence of a Neoarchean component (~ 2700 Ma), while the majority of zircon cores yield a range of Early Paleoproterozoic ages (2200 - 2500 Ma). The Sherdarwaza and Khair Khana Formations are comprised of migmatite and orthogneiss with minor marble, quartzite, and amphibolite that reached granulite-facies conditions. Conventional geother- mobarometry and phase equilibria modelling on well preserved granulite-facies assemblages indicates that the rocks reached conditions of approximately 850 řC at up to 7 kbar of pressure. Textural relations indicate that this was a strongly temperature dominated event. U/Pb SHRIMP dating of zircon rims and U-Th-Pb dating of monazite inclusions in granulite-facies garnet suggest that this event occurred in the late...

Biochemické parametry zony pellucidy prasečích oocytů během folikulogeneze

Vildová, Denisa January 2014 (has links)
Polyspermic fertilization is one of major problems during in vitro fertilization of porcine oocytes. Zona pellucida is an extracellular matrix, that surrounds growing mammalian eggs and is responsible for polyspermy block after fertilization. Porcine zona pellucida is composed of three glycoproteins called ZP2, ZP3 and ZP4. This study is aimed to modifications of ZP3 protein of oocytes with different developmental competence. No significant differences were found in expression of ZP3 protein in oocytes with lower developmental competence (follicular size S), in compared to oocytes with higher developmental competence (follicular size M). However, it was found significant differences in acidification of ZP3 protein of immature oocytes removed from follicles of size S, in compared to oocytes removed from follicles of size M. Moreover, using Western blot analysis, it was detected band in area > 50 kDa, which could play an essential role during fertilization of oocytes.
