The area of town part called Ring is situateted in Brno surrounded by Cejl, Křenová, Vlhká and Kolište Street. The main aim of the urban design is to provide the complete rehabilitation of the urban structure. The incompletely and accidentally arranged build- up area with many sandlots should be replaced with the traditional compact blocks which enable the create streets, boulevards, roads, green belts and a new piazetta. This design divides the border between private and public space. It counts with the replacement of the railway and bus station. There is designed the urban block with the dominance of the building function between the Cejl and Vlhká Street in the close neighborhood of old Edison factory. Another part of this block is created by the group of public buildings- Sport centre and Art school. There is also a hotel and an administrative building connecting few magistracies in the one place. The sport centre is divided into seven storeys respecting the fact that some storeys are 9 metres high if it requires the character of the sport space. There is a volume suitable for the basketball hall which can be reached from the entrance or from the second level. There one can found fitness centre, rehabilitation and relax centre, indoor golf, badminton, climbing wall, space for aerobic or zumba on the next floors. There is a restaurant offering the unique view on the town on the top of the building. The roof of the basketball hall is green with the minigolf. The essential component of the design is façade with blinds which enables the dynamically changing appearance of the building.

The detailed comparative analysis of four Czech translations of Alexander Blok's poem The twelve is at the crux of this diploma thesis. Concurrently, it sets the assessment of translation mastery of each translation based on criteria of poetry translation as defined by the signifiant Czech theorecian Jiří Levý. Aesthetic interpretaton of the poem and the description of distinctive features of Block's poetry precede the main part of the thesis. The author comes to a conclusion only two of the translations can be called acceptable to present-day readers (Vojtěch Jestřáb's and Václav Daněk's translations). Nevertheless, the translation by Bohumil Mathesius has a certain aesthetic quality, and if it is looked at from a historical perspective it can be appraised as succeful translation work. The very first translation by young Czech poet Jaroslav Seifert satisfies current poetry translation criteria the least. But there is also an another reason for it: both the Seifert's and Mathesius's translations are greatly influenced by the former language standard (the language obsolescence manifests itself at differet levels). The thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines basic issues related to the topic of advertising education. The practical part describes the preparation, implementation and assessment of the thematic block on advertising that took place at the second stage of the basic school ZŠ Jana Kubelíka, Neveklov.

The main theme of this diploma thesis is a description and a strength analysis of several steel structures of valve frames used by Bosch Rexroth, s. r. o. The first part sums up possibilities of fastening of hydraulic control elements. Furthermore, current types of valve frames were described. The strength analysis of three steel structures was output of using the finite elements method. The result of these analysis was the determination of the loads and critical points of individual structures. In the end of this study, new structures for one block frame were designed to modify the critical locations of the original solution.

The topic of my diploma thesis is an urbanistic and architectural study of the reconstruction of a city block near Masaryk Square in Kyjov. The block is located between the main square and the bus station. Currently, some parts of the block are used not enough or not used at all. The urbanistic study deals with the completion of the block and the creation of new public spaces with a newly designed traffic road. The architectural study deals with the study of an apartment building with parking next to the Panorama cinema in the western part of the city block. The aim of the proposal is to complete the gap, rebuild and return the housing function to the city center.

This thesis describes the problems of the engine block and crankcase. There is solution of structural design and contains the engineering design of invert six-cylinder engine block with water cooling. Thesis deals with connected equipment and drives. Engineering design is verified by finite elements analysis for the determination of strenght and durability. The ending of thesis analyzes the production methods of designed engine block.

The main objective of diploma thesis is to evaluate the impact of the geological structure on the hydrogeological conditions in the northeastern part of Stráž block. The study area in northern Bohemia is characterised by Cenomanian and Turonian sandstone aquifers, which are horizontally divided by Lower Turonian aquitard. The thesis focuses groundwater level analysis and study hydrogeological impacts of faults, neovolcanic veins and disturbances of rock environment caused by uranium mining. First part of the study presents description of general geological and hydrogeological conditions in the area with summary of previous investigations and reports. Various hydraulic interventions during mining, which have great impact on the groundwater level situation are described. Based on the data from collected boreholes, contour maps of groundwater level are prepared to study its shape and temporal changes. Hydraulic communication through aquitard and through Stráž fault zone have been examined by correlations of groundwater levels. The results of the study confirm sealing effect of Stráž fault zone in the examined section. Barrier effect of the neovolcanic veins has been confirmed on several locations and examples of increased hydraulic conductivity as the result of fault disturbances have been located....

The thesis deals with with transformation of post-industrial area on Svitava riverfront in Brno - Zábrdovice. Urban planing part completes structure of growing city, cultivates riverfront and creates different types of public spaces. Based on the urban study it suggests design of housning city block with closed courtyard and underground parking.

This project deals with the completion of a city block in the Brno city center and proposes an apartment building design for an in-fill on Francouzská street. The principles of the design are founded on the pillars of sustainable development. The proposed building will offer spacious rental apartments for families in a close proximity to the historical city center.
