Denna studie tillhandahåller information om hur skateboardåkande tjejer i Sverige skapar sina identiteter samt hur strukturer inom skateboardkulturen påverkar dem. Detta uppnås genom en kvalitativ studie med en semistrukturerad frågeguide. Det framkom att denna sociala process är komplex. Identitetsskapande äger rum då multipla gränsöverskridningar sker mellan olika kollektiva identiteter samt genom motaktioner gentemot dessa. Dessa kollektiva identiteter är både inom normativa samhällsstrukturer, skateboardkulturen samt kontexter färgade av feministiska politiska influenser. Med hjälp av differentiering rör sig dessa tjejer mellan olika samhälleliga fält, genom deras förhållningssätt samt frigörandet från bundna identiteter. Det framkom även i denna studie att tjejerna använde sig av både individuation samt ett reflexivt identitetsskapande då de själva valde vilken subjektspositionering som passade dem bäst samt visade hur de reflexivt införlivade de nya perspektiv de tillskansat sig. De hade ett transcendent förhållningssätt mellan dessa olika tillhörigheter. Tjejernas specifika individualitet samverkade med passionen för skateboard vilket visade på en alternativ femininitet. Denna femininitet hade en stark attraktion till en normativt märkt subkultur. Det framkom även, att då dessa tjejer arbetade för inkluderandet av fler tjejer till skateboardkulturen, blev deras eget skatande lidande. Ett uppoffrande de gjorde för att jämställa skateboardkulturen. Samtidigt framgick det av studien att den exkludering tjejerna själva kände till stor del låg hos dem själva, samtidigt som killarna inom skateboardkulturen medvetandegjordes om de normativa strukturer de var delaktiga i att återskapa. Resultatet av studien visade på att både killar och tjejer inom skateboard arbetar gemensamt för att skapa inkludering. Det framgick även att media samt kommersiella företag inom skateboardscenen behöver medvetandegöras till större utsträckning, gällande vikten av deras delaktighet i att reproducera kvinnliga förebilder inom skateboardkulturen. Skateboard är en fri aktivitet för fria kreativa individer vilka har en gemensam passion, skateboard. En subkultur, som om möjligt håller på att bli en mainstreamkultur med hjälp av inre drivande krafter. / This study provides information regarding the skateboard girls who rides in Sweden. How they creates their identities and how structures within the skateboard culture influence them. This is achieved through a qualitative study with semi-structured interviewguide. It emerged that this social process is complex. Their construction of identity occurres when multiple bordercrossings takes place between various collective identities and by actions against them. These collective identities takes place both within normative social structures, skateboard culture and contexts colored by feminist political influences. With the help of differentiation these girl was moving between the different social discourses, through their attitude and the release of bound identities. It also emerged in this study that the girls made use of both individuation and a reflexive identity when they themselves chose the affiliation that suited them best and that showed how the reflexive incorporated the new perspectives they usurped. They had a transcendent approach between these different affiliations. The girls' specific individuality interacted with the passion for skateboarding, which showed an alternative femininity. This femininity had a strong attraction to a normative noticed subculture. It also emerged that when these girls worked for the inclusion of more women into the skateboard culture, became their own skating in suffering. A sacrifice they made for equating the skateboard culture. The results from the study showes that the exclusion the girls felt themselves lay with themselves. The guys in the skateboarding culture had their consciousness made of the normative structures when they were involved in recreating those stuctures. The results of the study showed that both boys and girls within the skateboard culture is working together to create inclusion. It also showed that the media, as well as commercial enterprises in the skatboardcommunity, need to be made aware to a greater extent, regarding the importance of their participation in reproducing female role models within the skateboard culture. Skateboard is a free activity, for free and creative individuals, who have a common passion, skateboarding. A subculture, if possible, that is becoming a mainstream culture with the help of internal driving forces.
