Sociální těla v queer podniku / Social bodies within queer enterprise

Sagačová, Markéta January 2017 (has links)
The thesis strives for the anthropological interpretation of the body within queer enterprise. It tries to capture, interpret and understand the processes that form human bodies in this enterprise, in this thesis called Osvěžovna. Osvěžovna can be considered a certain social field within the queer habit is manifested; and as it truned out some sort of "friendly" habit too. With regard to the research landscape and research questions, the main research method is qualitative - participant observation. The main theoretical concept is the division of the cultural dimension of the human body into three structural levels according to Soukup and Balcer. This structure affects the division of thesis itself, which gradually deals with the techniques of the use of the human body and the ways in which the human body in Osvěžovna is modified; the way the human body is disciplined there; and what cultural significance can be found in Osvěžovna. This division is supplemented by the level of consumption. In conclusion are these findings summarized and there is also confirmation that these structural levels of the human body are very often intertwined. That points the integrity of the body culture system in Osvěžovna. Key words body; queer; anthropology; discipline; habitus

Reprezentace těla v časopise Výchova tělesná / "One can meet the responsibilities of life only when he is healthy and strong." Representation of body in the journal Výchova tělesná

Fiedler, Ondřej January 2013 (has links)
In my thesis, I aim to analyze the representation of body in the Czech scholarly texts dealing with physical education published in the early 20th century in the journal Výchova tělesná. I work on the anthropological assumption that understanding and interpretation of body changes along with the historical, social, cultural and ideological contexts. There are many areas of knowledge that define the correctness and naturalness of a physical appearance, behavior and conduct. The theory of school physical education, which since the 2nd half of the 19th century prescribes norms of physical fitness as a prerequisite for success in the national, economic and social life, is one of those areas. The interpretation starts with the analysis of descriptions of physical exercises, which is the most original part of discourse of the physical education, and analysis of texts that thematise the body in relation to mind. At this level, I explain what meanings are related to a pre-understanding of the body. In the second, principal part of the thesis, I interpret the process of construction of norms of appropriate body and show what techniques are required to implement them and how they are legitimized. Producing of normative meanings will be referred to the three major ideologies: gender, discipline and health....

Valeta, Leandro Neves. January 2010 (has links)
Entendendo a Rede Salesianos L.A. For this research we chose Rede Salesianos de Araraquara L.A. (Assisted Probation), since it is considered a model in which young people are required to behave in an acceptable manner while being offered appropriate opportunities to manage their conflict with the law and social reintegration. The Salesianos gather up necessary conditions for carrying out the proposed research: youth in conflict with the law and probation. Considering Salesianos in the city of Araraquara a social institution, we analyzed the body representation of young people addressing the particularity of social formation and its consequences concerning the possibilities of youth people in the current scenario. We analyzed this representation from the view of Michel Foucault (1987), regarding the power and discipline of bodies and the identity and sense of belonging, according to Zigmunt Bauman (2004). The analysis of social representations was guided by comprehensive interviews with five young interns aging from 14-17 years old, who have committed any offense between the years 2008 and 2009. This research presented a satisfactory discussion on our interests in the limits of a Masters work. We focused on body representations of these youngsters, paying attention to the role of the school and the Physical Education in their lives, tied to youth issues and institutions of social control. The analysis of bodily representation of youngsters under probation is the first step for understanding how these people deal with their bodies and how they fit into society they live in. The path... 台灣中學舞蹈班女學生身體意象形塑與認同 / Body Image Formulation and Identities of High School Dance Class Girls in Taiwan

Liao, Yu Ting Unknown Date (has links)
The girls in dance classes in Taiwan strictly conform to the social standard of beauty. Their bodies are ideal beauty according to society. In order to deliver the best visual performance, they would keep fit from strict diet control and body training (Jin Chenxuan, 2010). To find out how dance class follows body disciplinary method and how the girls in dance classes discipline themselves, semi-structured interviews were used when interviewing 11 experienced female dancers from dance classes. I would also like to figure out whether “dancer identities” and body images support them when they are trying to shape their bodies. Here are the findings: 1. The girls in dance classes may resist the body discipline in dance classes, because they are also aware of their own demand. 2. The girls in dance classes may build self-disciplinary and shape their body through the construction of “dancer identities”. 3. “Dancer identitiy” is influenced by various dance types, therefore we can conclude that “dancer identity” is diversified.
