Sudden Cardiac arrest affects 6,000 people annually in Sweden outside hospitals. Of these, only 10 percent survive. Early initiation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is required to survive a sudden cardiac arrest. Many people today feel insecure about how to act and perform CPR where chest compressions are the most important part of the procedure. The compressions are often much harder to perform for a long period of time since it is extremely physically demanding. Good compressions are performed on average of two minutes before the quality of the pace and depth deteriorates. This is a big problem as professional help from an ambulance takes an average of 12 minutes. During this time, it is extremely important that CPR can be maintained. Which means that most people are not able to carry out CPR with good quality for the required time. During the project's development year, an overall concept has been developed so that more people can act and perform CPR. Through the results of the project, the hope is that more lives can be saved annually. The concept contains an aid that will make it easier to perform compressions while performing CPR, a website to spread knowledge about the product and its area. The result also includes an implementation plan for how the product is to be implemented in society. The product halves the force required to perform compressions and increase the quality by helping to maintain the right depth and pace. As a complement to the defibrillator, HLR-Hjälpen will be located at places around the community, to be able to perform good compression while waiting for ambulance personnel. The results have been produced after thorough interviews with experienced organizations, companies and professional groups who face cardiac arrest in their everyday lives. The need for the product is rooted in a wide range of people with extensive experience in CPR. / Hjärtstopp drabbar årligen 6000 personer i Sverige utanför sjukhusen. Av dessa överlever endast 10 procent. Tidigt igångsatt Hjärt-lungräddning krävs för att överleva ett hjärtstopp. Många människor känner sig idag osäkra hur de ska agera och utföra HLR där bröstkompressioner är den viktigaste delen, men också oerhört fysiskt krävande. Bra kompressioner utförs i genomsnitt två minuter innan kvaliteten gällande takt och djup försämras. Detta är ett stort problem då professionell hjälp av ambulans dröjer i genomsnitt 12 minuter. Under denna tid är det oerhört viktigt att HLR kan upprätthållas. Det innebär alltså att de flesta inte klarar av att genomföra HLR med god kvalité under den tid som krävs. Under projektets utvecklingsår har ett helhetskoncept utvecklats för att fler ska kunna agera och utföra HLR, och på så sätt öka antalet liv som årligen kan räddas. Konceptet innehåller ett hjälpmedel som ska underlätta att utföra kompressionerna vid HLR, en hemsida för att sprida kunskap om produkten och området samt en implementeringsplan för hur produkten ska implementeras i samhället. Produkt halverar kraften som krävs för att utföra kompressioner samt höjer kvalitén genom att bidra till att rätt djup och takt hålls. Som ett komplement till hjärtstartaren ska HLR-Hjälpen sitta på platser runt om i samhället, för att möjliggöra att bra kompressioner kan utföras i väntan på ambulanspersonal. Resultatet har tagit fram efter grundliga intervjuer med erfarna organisationer, företag och yrkesgrupper som möter hjärtstopp i sin vardag. Behovet av produkten är förankrat hos ett brett spektrum av personer med stor erfarenhet av HLR.
