Esta dissertação parte das hipóteses de que os familiares de dependentes químicos também apresentariam uma dependência, não das drogas, mas do vínculo que têm com os dependentes químicos, e que esta dependência não seria restrita somente a esses familiares. Para testar as hipóteses, foram realizadas uma revisão bibliográfica do conceito de co-dependência e uma pesquisa embasada no referencial psicanalítico. Foram aplicados, ainda, dois tipos de testes de co-dependência em 20 familiares de dependentes químicos verificando-se as questões que tiveram maior índice de respostas afirmativas ou negativas. Os testes não foram usados quantitativamente como planejado por seus autores. Os resultados apontam em favor da hipótese e, como o prefixo "co" ressalta a ligação com o dependente químico, proponho nomear esta patologia de dependência do vínculo / This dissertation was based on the hypothesis that relatives of drug addicts would also develop an addiction, not to the drug, but to the bonds that they develop with their drug addicted relatives, and that, this type of addiction would not strike this group of relatives only. In order to test this hypothesis, a bibliographic review on codependency and a research based on the psychoanalytical approach were carried out. Furthermore, two different codependency questionnaires were administered to 20 relatives of drug addicted people. These questionnaires were not used quantitatively as their authors had originally planed, but as direct interview. The purpose was to verify the questions that had most affirmative and negative answers. The results have appeared to confirm the hypothesis, and since the term codependency emphasizes the connection with the addicted relative, it has been suggested that it be replaced by the term bond addiction

Interest in the subject stems from the need to understand the quality of life of caregivers of the chronically ill, including ways of coping with problems used in different stages of disease progression. To approach this issue, a literature review was performed (which makeup the Introduction and Chapter I) among the bases: LILACS, IBECS, BDENF, MEDLINE, CAPES, HIGHTBEAM, including researching books and sites relating to the key words: quality of life, codependency, chronic illness, caregiver, coping psychological strategies. Chapter 2 presents an empirical study, prepared under the rules of the journal Issues in Psychology. It is a quantitative and qualitative study conducted among 20 caregivers of the chronically ill, of both sexes approached between June and August 2010 in the medical clinic at a teaching hospital. Participants were administered a socio demographic form, the WHOQOL- abbreviated, the EMEP and a schedule of semi-structured interview. The results indicated that the quality of life scores were satisfactory and had plasticity in the use of psychological coping strategies. However, analysis of the interviews showed that most indicators showed suggestive of codependency. It is the need of psychological intervention in similar situations, both to manage codependent attitudes and maintain good levels of quality of life of caregivers, as to make them a therapeutic agent of the chronically ill. / Esta dissertação parte da suposição de que certos cuidadores de enfermos crônicos apresentam uma dependência neste cuidado intenso e no vínculo que têm com o enfermo, levando-os a codependência. O interesse pelo tema decorre da necessidade de compreensão da qualidade de vida dos cuidadores de enfermos crônicos, incluindo os modos de enfrentamento de problemas utilizados em distintas fases da evolução da doença. Para aproximação ao tema, foi realizada uma revisão teórica (que compõem a Introdução e o Capítulo 1) nas bases: LILACS, IBECS, BDENF, MEDLINE, CAPES, HIGHTBEAM, além de levantamento de livros e sites relacionados aos descritores: qualidade de vida, codependência, doença crônica, cuidador e estratégias de enfrentamento psicológico. No Capítulo 2, apresenta-se um estudo empírico, elaborado com base nas regras da Revista Temas em Psicologia. Este trata-se de um estudo quanti-qualitativo, desenvolvido com 20 cuidadores de enfermos crônicos, de ambos os sexos, abordados entre junho e agosto de 2010, na Clínica Médica de um hospital escola. Aos participantes foram aplicados uma ficha sócio demográfica, o WHOQOL Abreviado, a EMEP e um roteiro de entrevista semiestruturada. Os resultados indicaram que os escores de qualidade de vida foram satisfatórios e havia uma plasticidade no uso das estratégias de enfrentamento psicológico. Contudo, a análise das entrevistas evidenciou que a maior parte apresentava indicadores sugestivos de codependência. Conclui-se pela necessidade de intervenção psicológica em situações semelhantes, tanto para gerenciar as atitudes codependentes e manter bons níveis de qualidade de vida do cuidador, quanto para torná-lo um agente terapêutico do enfermo crônico.

Объектом исследования явились психологические особенности созависимых людей. Предметом исследования стали особенности восприятия отца лицами с различной степенью созависимости. Магистерская диссертация состоит из введения, двух глав, заключения, списка литературы (90 источников) и двух приложений, включающих в себя бланк авторской анкеты и результаты математико-статистического анализа. Объем магистерской диссертации 107 страниц, на которых размещены 14 рисунков и 3 таблицы. Во введении раскрывается актуальность проблемы исследования, разработанность проблематики, ставятся цель и задачи исследования, определяются объект и предмет исследования, формулируются основная и дополнительные гипотезы, указываются методы и эмпирическая база, а также этапы проведения исследования, научная новизна, теоретическая и практическая значимость работы. Первая глава включает в себя обзор иностранной и отечественной литературы по теме образа отца и отцовской роли в воспитании ребенка. Представлены разделы, посвященные исследованию влияния на ребенка образа отца и участия отца в воспитании. Выводы по первой главе представляют собой итоги по изучению теоретического материала. Вторая глава посвящена эмпирической части исследования. В ней представлено описание организации и методов проведенного исследования и результатов, полученных по всем использованным методикам: шкала созависимости Б. Уайнхолд, Дж. Уайнхолд (адаптация А. С. Кочарян, Е. В. Фроловой, Н. А. Смахтиной), методика исследования уровня субъективного контроля (УСК), методика «Диагностика межличностных отношений» Т. Лири, методика «Личностный дифференциал» и авторская анкета. Также в главе представлен анализ результатов исследования. Выводы по главе 2 включают в себя основные результаты эмпирического исследования. В заключении в обобщенном виде изложены результаты теоретической и эмпирической частей работы, а также выводы по выдвинутым гипотезам, обоснована практическая значимость исследования и описаны возможные перспективы дальнейшей разработки данной проблематики. / The object of the study was the psychological characteristics of codependent people. The subject of the study was the peculiarities of the perception of the father by persons with varying degrees of codependency. The master's thesis consists of an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, a list of references (90 sources) and two appendices, including the author's questionnaire form and the results of mathematical and statistical analysis. The volume of the master's thesis is 107 pages, which contain 14 figures and 3 tables. The introduction reveals the relevance of the research problem, the elaboration of the problem, sets the purpose and objectives of the study, defines the object and subject of the study, formulates the main and additional hypotheses, specifies the methods and empirical base, as well as the stages of research, scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance of the work. The first chapter includes a review of foreign and domestic literature on the subject of the image of the father and the father's role in the upbringing of a child. The sections devoted to the study of the influence of the father's image on the child and the father's participation in upbringing are presented. The conclusions of the first chapter are the results of the study of theoretical material. The second chapter is devoted to the empirical part of the study. It presents a description of the organization and methods of the research and the results obtained by all the methods used: the scale of codependency B. Weinhold, J. Weinhold (adaptation by A. S. Kocharyan, E. V. Frolova, N. A. Smakhtina), the methodology of the study of the level of subjective control (USC), the methodology of "Diagnostics of interpersonal relations" T. Leary, the methodology of "Personal differential" and the author's questionnaire. The chapter also presents an analysis of the results of the study. The conclusions of Chapter 2 include the main results of an empirical study. In conclusion, the results of the theoretical and empirical parts of the work are summarized, as well as conclusions on the hypotheses put forward, the practical significance of the study is substantiated and possible prospects for further development of this problem are described.

This study is an exploration, through ethnographic and auto-ethnographic inquiry, of the personal world, gambling experiences and underlying biopsychosocial vulnerabilities of three individual case studies - one male and two females - each representing a different sub-type of pathological gambler. It comprises the integration and implementation of a psycho-structural stage matching model to explore comorbidity and identify certain biopsychosocial manifestations in the respective stages of pathological gambling. Long term treatment strategies were identified and patient treatment matching was explored. Further, it comprises my personal relationship and therapeutic treatment of these sub-types of gamblers over a period of one year and longer. In this study it is hypothesized that formulating appropriate matching long term treatment strategies should be based on the stage of change, the phase in the psycho-structural model, as well as the gambler's underlying vulnerability. From this a comprehensive gambling disposition profile can be completed with proper intervention matching approaches. A number of other hypotheses emerged from this study that could provide valuable information and serve as a guideline to those working with pathological gamblers. / Psychology / D.Phil.
