Efficiency of public development projects LAG ROZVOJ Krnovska, o.p.s. in time period 2010-2014

Metzl, Jan January 2015 (has links)
The objective of this diploma thesis is to identify factors for improvement of effective implementation of public projects for upcoming programming period in LAG Rozvoj Krnovska o.p.s. with respect to its individual conditions. The theoretical part provides understanding with the most important concepts for this thesis as various methods of evaluation, local action groups and rural development under LEADER platform. Practical part of this thesis focuses on implementation of chosen evaluation methods at research sample composed of projects executed in chosen LAG during 2010-2013. It further evaluates their effectiveness under CUA and CEA conditions and from results it additionally analysis factors which were present at the best performing projects. Identification of these factors should become a recommendation for specific LAG in order to improve project selection criterion with aim to improve project effectiveness in programming period 2014-2020.

Hodnocení nákladové efektivity NOAC v indikaci atriální fibrilace / Evaluation of cost effectiveness of NOAC (New Oral AntiCoagulants) in the indication of atrial fibrillation

Vothová, Petra January 2017 (has links)
In my thesis, in the theoretical part I deal with atrial fibrillation. I also deal with management of atrial fibrillation treatment. In the paper I explain the basic principles of pharmaco-economic evaluation in the Czech Republic, on the basis of which laws these pharmacological interventions are evaluated and who are in the Czech Republic. In the work I present cost breakdown and what are the most commonly used pharmaco-economic analyzes. In the practical part I will apply the theoretical knowledge. I have developed cost utility analysis based on available clinical evidence - randomized clinical trials ARISTOTLE (Granger, 2011), RE-LY (Connolly, 2009), ROCKET AF (Patel, 2011). I made an indirect comparison of the total benefits of NOACs. In the baseline scenario, I have calculated QALY to evaluate the benefits of effectiveness, safety and reduction of mortality. I have also dealt with a bleeding-related scenario. The ICER's greatest contribution to the public healthcare system has shown the active substance apixaban in both scenarios. I added the results and confirmed the clinical results of a recent, robust, retrospective study by Mayo Clinic (Yao, 2016).

Analýza efektivnosti léčby benigní hyperplazie prostaty pomocí miniinvazivního zákroku laserovou metodou fotoselektivní vaporizace a metodou standardního chirurgického zákroku transuretrální resekcí prostaty / Analysis of the Effectiveness of the Treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Jirásková, Marcela January 2009 (has links)
The theoretical part of my thesis at first introduces the most common benign neoplasm in men over fifty, a non cancerous prostate gland enlargement called the benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH). The main focus of this section will be on BPH's anatomy, etiology, symptomatology, complications, diagnosis and therapy. I will also describe four cost analyses used in health services: CMA, CEA, CUA and CBA. In the practical section of my thesis I will analyze the therapy effectiveness of transurethral resection of the prostate and photoselective vaporization of the prostate with the use of cost-effectiveness analysis.

Charging the use of studded tires in Stockholm city-A cost Benefit analysis / A cost Benefit analysis on the use of studded tires in Stockholm city

Aghanifor, Ishmael January 2015 (has links)
The stockholm county proposed legislation in 2010 on the use of studded tires in the city. The aim of the policy was to reduce the use of studded tires by 50 percent. The research question investigates the authenticity of the policy where it was hypothesized that the net social benefits for the imposition of this charge was less than or equal to zero. Emperical literatures were chosen systematically and with the help of theories on welfare economics, a meta analysis was employed quantifying cost and benefits of all outcomes. The findings shows that the NSB is less than zero meaning that it was a wise decision to reject the proposal.

Study of protein in the respiratory chain by IR spectroscopy and electrochemistry / Etude des interactions des protéines dans la chaîne respiratoire par spectroscopie IR et par électrochimie

Neehaul, Yashvin 13 September 2012 (has links)
The field of molecular bioenergetics deals with the energy transduction in biological cells. In this project, respiration and more specifically proton and sodium pumping enzymes and their coupling to electron transfer have been in focus. First we have been interested in the Na+-pumping NADH:quinone reductase from Vibrio cholerae which is the entry site of electrons in the respiratory chain of several pathogens. The role of specific flavin cofactors and amino acids involved in Na+ transfer has been shown in a combined IR spectroscopic and electrochemical approach. The interaction between proteins, namely the cytochrome c552 and the CuA fragment from the terminal ba3 oxidase from the organism Thermus thermophilus was then investigated. Structural reorganization during electron transfer was revealed by IR spectroscopy. Finally, in the third part of the project the interaction within the bc1-aa3 supercomplex from the respiratory chain from Corynebacterium glutamicum was analyzed.

St-Denis, Geneviève 09 1900 (has links)
Over the last few decades, Quebec has seen a significant increase in the number of students with special challenges in regular primary school classes. This diversification of learning profiles has complicated teaching, which aims at the success of all students regardless of their specific needs. Educational practices and material resources play a crucial role in promoting access, participation and progress for all students. However, teachers do not appear to be sufficiently prepared, both in their initial and continuing training, to implement so-called accessible practices in the classroom. This study aims to better understand how short training based on the Planning for all learners (PAL) can support primary school teachers in planning and implementing the Universal design of learning (UDL) and assistive technology (AT) in the classroom. More specifically, this study aims to design a training to be proposed to teachers, to document the achievement of the PAL stages by teachers and to describe the contributions and limits of the training system in terms of the support provided by the latter to primary school teachers in Quebec. Based on the literature collected, a training scheme was developed and proposed to five primary school teachers. Teachers took about an hour of online training individually before participating in a collective work meeting. The results of this research, based on a qualitative methodology, show that the short-term training system offers promising support to teachers. This has helped change teachers’ perceptions of learning difficulties by looking to identify obstacles rather than disabilities. Most of all, the PPU has been useful in supporting the planning and implementation of UDL and ATs by teachers. Finally, the collaboration, support and design of training resources in accordance with the UDL principles played a role in supporting understanding and skills development during this training.
