The following research attempted to present the different representations of indian salvation from the analysis of the sacrament of penitence in different moments of what is known as the spiritual conquest of Spanish America. This work compares the European utopian discourse that believed in the complete conversion of the indigenous population to Catholicism, particularly in the initial years of the evangelizing, to the narrative produced in the second half of the 16th and beginning of the 17th century where we can clearly see a disbelief in the success of the missionary campaign / Mestrado / Historia Cultural / Mestre em História

Katechetická práce s dětmi v Královehradecké diecézi CČSH / Katechetical Work with Children in the Hradec Králové Diocese of The Czechoslovak Hussite Church

Klásková, Františka January 2012 (has links)
This thesis is devoted to the topic catechetical work with children in the Czechoslovak Hussite Church. After presenting into context depicts the subject from two point sof wiew. The first part is devoted to theoretical catechetics, which describes how the catechesis of children theoretically takes place. The sekond part shows you how it really takes place in Hradec Kralove diocese of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church. These two parts are equally divided into three sections. By comparing these sections it is concluded that in practice the fundamental katechetice coincides with the theory. In a formal katechetics, basic points also coincide, but practice may inspire theory rather than vice verse. The material part is of the biggest contradictions, especially in materials that Czechoslovak Hussite Church does (not) offer. Mismatch in this material part of catechetics is essential, and unless a consensus is reached again, the problems that the practice faces, cannot be solved.

Katecheze dospělých v Církvi československé husitské jako otevřená cesta Slova Božího do současné společnosti / Adult Catechetics in the Czechoslovak Hussite Church as an Open Path of God's Word towards Modern Society

Matějková, Veronika January 2014 (has links)
RESUMÉ The purpose of this thesis was to outline the current state of catechesis in the Czechoslovak Hussite Church and basic regularities of the andragogic discipline as the science of adult education. We put these findings in the context of adult life, which is based in the postmodern era and secularized society. The first chapter dealt with the specifics of contemporary life and the needs of the post-modern man living in a secularized world. In the second chapter we entered the path of God's Word. We interpret the Word of God in the theology of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church and pointed out the personal / personalistics dimension of the relationship between man and God In the third chapter, we introduce catechesis as a theological discipline. We captured its mission and emphasis from theoretical and practical point of view, and we have followed with the fourth chapter and the specific concept of catechesis in the Czechoslovak Hussite Church. We focused on its development, legislative basis and especially methods of catechesis. The fifth chapter describes andragogy as a scientific discipline. We were interested in the process of adult education and the elements that enter it. We also attempted to show the process of basic methodological preparation for the educational activity. Aguas batismais e santos oleos : uma trajetoria historica do aldeamento de Atalaia

Takatuzi, Tatiana 17 October 2005 (has links)
Orientador: John Manuel Monteiro / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Filosofia e Ciencias Humanas / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-05T04:54:07Z (GMT). A dialética do encontro em situação de aldeamento promoveu a elaboração e construção de novas relações sociais e a representação indígena não foi explicitada unicamente pelos conflitos contra o colonizador mas, sobretudo, por meio de negociações e adaptações de diferenciadas formas de convívio determinados pelos atores indígenas e coloniais / Abstract: This thesis examines the historical development of Atalaia, a village occupied by Kaingang Indians, which was established in the early nineteenth century by the colonial government of the Captaincy of São Paulo as part of its colonization plan for the Campos de Guarapuava region. Based on ecclesiastical records, census lists, and the writings of Francisco das Chagas Lima, a priest who remained in the village for 18 years, the thesis shows how the church developed a hierarchical classification scheme, subjecting the Indians to a system of subordination. At the same time, the work reveals indigenous forms of representation, analyzing the apparent acceptance of Christian rituals from the perspective of Kaingang politics and cosmology, where the conflicts and alliances that permeated this group¿s history followed a dualistic world view and the logic of a hierarchical factionalism. The dialectics of the encounter within the space of the village promoted the elaboration and construction of new social relations, since indigenous agency was expressed not only through conflicts with colonial interests, but also through the negotiation and adaptation of various forms of coexistence determined both by indigenous as well and colonial actors / Mestrado / Antropologia / Mestre em Antropologia

Kategese as middel tot heilsekerheid en heilstoe-eiening in konteks van die verbond en die koninkryk / Carel Nicolaas van der Merwe

Van der Merwe, Carel Nicolaas January 2004 (has links)
The observation is made that the spiritual well being of the church youth - i.e., the covenantal youth -is not healthy. The aim of this thesis is to study this observation. It seems that when children come to the point that they confess their faith they do not grasp the full implications of this undertaking as they do not bear the fruits of faith in their daily lives. There exists empiric evidence that the church youth are well equipped in the knowledge of faith, but when it comes to subjective acts of faith, there is a great lack. The assumption is made that the catechist is not always sufficiently equipped to apply the balance between knowledge of faith and subjective acts of faith in catechises. The focus point of the study is: Catechises as a means through which salvation is secured and appropriated within the context of the covenant and the Kingdom of God. The fundamental question at stake is: How does the believer share in the salvation that Christ has earned on the cross, and in which way can the catechises serves as a vehicle to achieve this goal. Essentially catechises is the official service of the church through which children of the covenant are assured of their salvation. They must also come to the point where they claim this redemption. The church obtains this objective by proclaiming the truths and instructing the doctrines of the Word of God to these children in such a way that each individual should come to confess his/her faith publicly and personally. Catechists must shepherd and guide these children not only to obtain certainty of faith (certitudo fidei) and to be obedient as believers, but also to be convinced of their salvation (certitudo salutis) and to make this redemption their own. The unity between God and man is not a polar one, but an apolar covenantal relation. Within this polar relation the covenant is like a solid foundation in which this oneness is rooted. The monopleuric (one-sided, unilateral) and dipleuric (two-sided, bilateral) character of the covenant proves that God treats man as a responsible associate in this treaty. God's sovereignty or objective salvation, on the one hand, and human responsibility or subjective faith, on the other hand, coexists without any strain or uneasiness whatsoever within this apolar covenantal connection between God and man. There is no contradiction between God's redemptive word and man's responsibility. It is therefore compulsory for man to believe; that man has faith is not something that rakes place without his decision. However, it is through the power of the gospel that faith is created in man - the gospel that Christ was crucified. The grace of God does not cause the believer to be a passive being; it has the effect that he is in active service of the Lord. The requirement to believe and to repent is not set aside; in fact, it remains a condition of the covenant. This means that, in the relation between God and His people, the promises and the demands of the covenant must be operative and active in the personal lives of the people of the covenant. The purpose of this exercise is that the believers will be able to experience the grace of the promises of the covenant as a reality. There is also a call at the address of these people to appropriate the salvation promised in the covenant. The children of the covenant must share in the promises of the pact on a personal basis. The reality of these promises, as well as the urgency of the demands - according to the gospel of God - must be proclaimed to the catechumens. There is a close relationship between certainty of faith and the objective truths of religion. This certainty is built on the truths that form the content of the Word of God. Certainty of salvation links up with the subjective acts of faith. A believer takes part on a personal level in the redemptive work of Christ. The fact that he is saved, through this redemption, forms the foundation of the Christian's life. / Thesis (Ph.D. (Catechetics))--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2005.
