Analýza financování úvěrových finančních instrumentů pro malé firmy / The Analysis on Financing of Credit Financial Instruments for Small BusinessesKUTÍLKOVÁ, Aneta January 2010 (has links)
This thesis deals with the analysis of the credit process as a form of financing from foreign sources The theoretical part of this thesis deals with the characteristics of the credit business, furthermore with explanation of the terms connected with bank loans, which are the main focus of the theoretical part. Not least, alternative forms of financing are mentioned, which banks offer next to the credits mostly by means of their branches. The practical part analyzes the process of credit offers in the chosen banking institutions, the application process of granting the loan for buying a car i.e. what an applicant has to hand in and which conditions he has to fulfill, so that the bank would in general accept his application. At the same time, some leasing companies were addressed with an application for a not {--} binding offer for the same object of financing. On the basis of performed calculations it has been found that the financing of the bank loan is more advantageous for the company than leasing and that the client gets more easily a bank loan in the bank, in which he has a checking account

Forecasting checking account balance : Using supervised machine learningDannelind, Martin January 2022 (has links)
The introduction of open banking has made it possible for companies to build the next generation of applications based on transactional data. Enabling economic forecasts which private individuals can use to make responsible financial decisions. This project investigated forecasting account balances using supervised learning. 7 different regression models were run on transactional data from 377 anonymised checking accounts split into subgroups. The results concluded that multivariate XGBoost optimised with feature selection was the best performing forecasting model and the subgroup with recurring income transactions was easiest to forecast. Based on the result from this project it can be concluded that a viable option to forecast account balances is to split the transactional data into subgroups and forecast them separately. Minimising the errors given by certain random, infrequent and large types of transactions.

Previous issue date: 2013-01-30 / Non-maturing liabilities make up a large part of the funding base of financial institutions. These liabilities, such as checking and savings accounts, while allowing their depositors to withdraw the full amount of their investments at any time, the balance remain in the financial institutions for long period of time. The lack of defined contractual maturity makes the risk management a difficult task. This study analyzes the implied maturity of savings deposits through a replicating portfolio model. As a result, it’s presented structures for allocating cash flows to manage market and liquidity risk of savings deposits.
