Spokojenost seniorů se sociálními službami v Prachaticích / Seniors' satisfaction with social services in Prachatice

KUBIŠOVÁ, Lucie January 2017 (has links)
The thesis discusses the satisfaction of senior citizens with social services in Prachatice. My thesis was aimed to identify awareness of senior citizens for social services available in the town of Prachatice. The other aim of my thesis was to identify how seniors are satisfied with the offer and provision of social services in Prachatice. Three research questions were used to achieve the goal. Semi-structured interviews with fourteen senior citizens who utilize social services in Prachatice were used to identify how seniors are informed about social services. Further I wanted to identify how elderly people are content with the offer and availability of social services, and how they are satisfied with the provision of social services, and what could be proposed to improve the offered and delivered social services. The acquired data were analysed using an open data coding method. The collected information indicates that awareness of social services for senior citizens in Prachatice is sufficient. A few proposals were raised by respondents that could increase awareness of available social services. Seniors are partly satisfied with the offer and availability of social services while they are not content with the number of vacancies in the Senior Home. They consider the provision of social services in Prachatice to be sufficient. A high number of respondents would propose to increase vacancies in the Senior Home in order to enhance the social services offered in Prachatice. The respondents would also propose to extend the offer of social services by personal assistance, day care center for elderly, home hospice care and increased number of beds in the Nursing Home for Persons with Cognitive Impairment. The respondents pointed out the possibility of more effective co-operation between providers of social services in Prachatice. The results of my thesis can help increase and make awareness of social services more effective and improve the offer and provision of social services for senior citizens in Prachatice.

Closing the Financial Inclusion Gap by Understanding What Factors Drive Consumer Selection of Financial Service Providers

Williams, Sherry Lee January 2019 (has links)
This research seeks to determine what factors and combinations of banking features drive the choice of a financial service provider. Two studies have been devised to explore the research question. The initial study, uses factor analysis and logistic regression to examine the importance of perceived cost, convenience, and relational trust in the choice of a financial services provider. An additional study uses choice-based conjoint analysis to conduct an exploratory study to identify combinations of banking features that potential customers perceive as most attractive. The study simulates real-world buying situations that ask research participants to trade one financial services attribute for another. Results from the first study suggest that a consumer’s choice of banks, prepaid cards, online lending, and the US Postal Service for financial services is associated with a preference for convenience while relational trust and perceived cost drives the choice of “street” AFS providers. In the second study, results from the choice-based conjoint analysis suggest that fees are significantly more important than convenience and level of customer contact across all categorical variables (age, gender, race/ethnicity, employment, income, and education). Additionally, in-person customer service contact is considered more important than convenience. Understanding these factors, optimal combinations and proportions, and trade-offs through the eyes of the consumer, may be of value to both policy makers and industry officials alike when grappling with options to strengthen financial inclusion. / Business Administration/Strategic Management

Kommuners val av e-tjänster : En kvalitativ intervjustudie / Municipalities' choice of e-services

Ahlborg, Arvid January 2023 (has links)
Sweden's municipalities face major challenges in the future to be able to provide the welfare services that are expected of them, primarily due to an increasing elderly population. To cope with these challenges, digitalization and the utilization of today's technology have been highlighted as a solution, where e-services have a central role for municipalities. However, several municipalities have stated that they have problems with developing e-services in step with societal development and that existing e-services are not used to the expected extent The purpose of the study is thus to explore the phenomenon of "the introduction of e-services" within municipalities in Sweden, with a focus on why municipalities choose to introduce the e-services they do. A qualitative method has been used where a small-N study was carried out. The data collection consisted of seven semi-structured interviews in which a total of eight different municipalities were included. The respondents have been selected based on the information they were able to provide. A content analysis has then been carried out where a number of categories have been identified through open and axial coding. The analysis shows that the municipalities' choice of e-services is influenced by how they identify and manage ideas for e-services, a collection of obstacles to the introduction of e-services as well as their collaborations with other municipalities and public bodies regarding e-services. The study can contribute to an increased awareness for the municipalities about why they choose the e-services they do, which can ease and improve their work with e-services. This can help the municipalities to fulfill the existing potential with e-services and meet the challenges they are facing in the future. This study is written in Swedish.
