The A-infinity Algebra of a Curve and the J-invariant

Fisette, Robert, Fisette, Robert January 2012 (has links)
We choose a generator G of the derived category of coherent sheaves on a smooth curve X of genus g which corresponds to a choice of g distinguished points P1, . . . , Pg on X. We compute the Hochschild cohomology of the algebra B = Ext (G,G) in certain internal degrees relevant to extending the associative algebra structure on B to an A1-structure, which demonstrates that A1-structures on B are finitely determined for curves of arbitrary genus. When the curve is taken over C and g = 1, we amend an explicit A1-structure on B computed by Polishchuk so that the higher products m6 and m8 become Hochschild cocycles. We use the cohomology classes of m6 and m8 to recover the j-invariant of the curve. When g 2, we use Massey products in Db(X) to show that in the A1-structure on B, m3 is homotopic to 0 if and only if X is hyperelliptic and P1, . . . , Pg are chosen to be Weierstrass points. iv

Applications des foncteurs strictement polynomiaux / Applications of strict polynomial functors

Pham, Van tuan 11 June 2015 (has links)
Cohomology of finite group schemes over a field. Invent. Math., 127(2) : 209-270, 1997]. Des variantes à plusieurs variables sont définies dans [Vincent Franjou, Eric M. Friedlander, Alexander Scorichenko, and Andrei Suslin. General linear and functor cohomology over finite fields. Ann. of Math (2), 150(2) : 663-728, 1999], [Vincent Franjou and Eric Friedlander. Cohomology of bifunctors. Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. (3), 97(2) : 514-544, 2008], [Antoine Touzé. Cohomology of classical algebraic groups from the functorial viewpoint. Adv. Math., 225(1) : 33-68, 2010]. Dans une première partie de la thèse (chapitre 2), nous étudions l'influence de la torsion de Frobenius sur les groupes d'extension dans les catégories des foncteurs strictement polynomiaux. Relèvements cristallins de représentations galoisiennes / Crystalline raising in Galois representations

Muller, Alain 04 November 2013 (has links)
In this thesis, we prove that certain representations of the absolute Galois group of a finite extension of Qp with coefficients in Fp lift to crystalline representation with coefficients in Zp.

p-adic L-functions for non-critical adjoint L-values

Lee, Pak Hin January 2019 (has links)
Let K be an imaginary quadratic field, with associated quadratic character α. We construct an analytic p-adic L-function interpolating the special values L(1, ad(f) ⊗ α) as f varies in a Hida family; these values are non-critical in the sense of Deligne. Our approach is based on Greenberg--Stevens' idea of Λ-adic modular symbols. By considering cohomology with values in a space of p-adic measures, we construct a Λ-adic evaluation map that interpolates Hida's integral expression as the weight varies. The p-adic L-function is obtained by applying this map to a cohomology class corresponding to the given Hida family.

A homotopical description of Deligne–Mumford compactifications

Deshmukh, Yash Uday January 2023 (has links)
In this thesis I will give a description of the Deligne–Mumford properad expressing it as the result of homotopically trivializing S¹ families of annuli (with appropriate compatibility conditions) in the properad of smooth Riemann surfaces with parameterized boundaries. This gives an analog of the results of Drummond-Cole and Oancea–Vaintrob in the setting of properads. We also discuss a variation of this trivialization which gives rise to a new partial compactification of Riemann surfaces relevant to the study of operations on symplectic cohomology.

A Lift of Cohomology Eigenclasses of Hecke Operators

Hansen, Brian Francis 24 May 2010 (has links) (PDF)
A considerable amount of evidence has shown that for every prime p &neq; N observed, a simultaneous eigenvector v_0 of Hecke operators T(l,i), i=1,2, in H^3(Γ_0(N),F(0,0,0)) has a “lift” v in H^3(Γ_0(N),F(p−1,0,0)) — i.e., a simultaneous eigenvector v of Hecke operators having the same system of eigenvalues that v_0 has. For each prime p>3 and N=11 and 17, we construct a vector v that is in the cohomology group H^3(Γ_0(N),F(p−1,0,0)). This is the first construction of an element of infinitely many different cohomology groups, other than modulo p reductions of characteristic zero objects. We proceed to show that v is an eigenvector of the Hecke operators T(2,1) and T(2,2) for p>3. Furthermore, we demonstrate that in many cases, v is a simultaneous eigenvector of all the Hecke operators.
