Previous issue date: 2014-02-21 / The main objective of this project was to understand the implications of family therapy in the treatment of a patient cared for in the program for eating disorders of the Hospital das Clínicas, at the Instituto de Psiquiatria de São Paulo (IPq HC-FMUSP). This objective was drafted from the possibility of creating a space for dialogue among those participating in this research project, by way of semi-structured interviews which could increase the understanding and the reach of family therapy in this context. An effort was made specifically to extend knowledge of treatment of eating disorders beyond family therapy, with a view to perceive and analyze the context of the relationships and life both within the family organization of the patient being treated, as well as within the professional system involved in the treatment. For this end, interviews were held with three of the professionals who were part of the multidisciplinary team which took care of the chosen case during the last five years, being one a psychiatrist, one a nutritionist and one an individual psychologist, apart from the patient herself and members of her family. For data analysis information was gleaned from the interviews of each participant, according to the importance of their content and the objective of this research project. Thus some themes were identified which could didactically outline some specific points relevant to the discussion. Taking into consideration the collaborative approach proposed by Harlene Anderson (2011), we understand the different voices offered by our participants as possible interpretations capable of communicating amongst themselves. From this material it was possible to identify some of the expectations of the multidisciplinary team in relation to the effects of family therapy in the treatment of eating disorders in a hospital setting, and also the relevance of this care both to the patient as well as her family. It became evident that family therapy was valued by all those involved in the research project as a necessary support for the patient and her family, insofar that from the specific point of view of each one it contributed to greater adhesion to the treatment. However this valuing implies in fitting the family therapy into a format of behavior which is aimed at the symptom, and this research project endeavored to reflect on the use of this space for the inter-relational process in which the symptom arises, and on the possible reach of this care for a long term
process which would look at the dynamics of the relationships and also beyond the symptom / O objetivo principal deste trabalho foi compreender os significados da terapia familiar no tratamento de uma paciente atendida no programa para transtorno alimentar do Hospital das Clínicas, no Instituto de Psiquiatria de São Paulo (IPq HC-FMUSP). Esse objetivo foi delineado a partir da possibilidade de criar um espaço de diálogo entre os participantes desta pesquisa, por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas que pudessem ampliar o entendimento e o alcance da terapia familiar nesse contexto. De maneira específica, buscou-se estender o conhecimento sobre o tratamento dos transtornos alimentares para além da terapia familiar, com vistas a perceber e analisar os contextos das relações e da vivência tanto na organização familiar da paciente em tratamento, quanto na organização do sistema profissional envolvido no tratamento. Para isso, foram entrevistados três profissionais que participaram da equipe multidisciplinar que tratou do caso escolhido durante os últimos cinco anos, sendo um psiquiatra, uma nutricionista e um psicólogo individual, além da própria paciente e de seus familiares. Para a análise dos dados foram feitos recortes das entrevistas de cada participante, a partir da importância do conteúdo relatado e do objetivo desta pesquisa. Assim, levantaram-se alguns temas que pudessem delinear de forma didática alguns pontos específicos e relevantes para discussão. Levando em consideração a abordagem colaborativa proposta por Harlene Anderson (2011), compreendemos as diferentes vozes oferecidas por nossos participantes como possibilidades de entendimentos capazes de dialogar entre si. Diante desse material, foi possível verificar algumas expectativas da equipe multidisciplinar em relação à atuação da terapia familiar no tratamento dos transtornos alimentares no contexto hospitalar, bem como a relevância desse atendimento tanto para a paciente quanto para os seus familiares. Ficou evidente que a terapia familiar foi valorizada por todos os envolvidos na pesquisa como um suporte necessário à paciente e seus familiares, na medida em que, do ponto de vista específico de cada um contribuiu para maior adesão ao tratamento. No entanto, essa valorização implica em colocar a terapia familiar dentro de um formato de conduta voltada para o sintoma, e esta pesquisa buscou refletir sobre a utilização desse espaço para a compreensão do
processo inter relacional no qual se produz o sintoma e nas possibilidades de alcance desse atendimento para um trabalho a longo prazo que olhe para as dinâmicas da relação e para além do sintoma

Toute organisation doit aujourd'hui être capable de s'adapter de plus en plus vite aux évolutions stratégiques, organisationnelles et techniques. Pour cela, elle doit pouvoir identifier, modéliser, simuler, exécuter, optimiser et faire évoluer ses processus métier en fonction de ces changements. L'approche BPM (Business Process Management) propose des langages, des méthodes et des outils pour la modélisation, l'exécution et l'optimisation des processus. Mais l'étape de modélisation reste lourde à mettre en œuvre, couteuse, souvent effectuée par un expert analyste métier et donc peu consensuelle. Par opposition, la méthode ISEA est une approche participative dans laquelle les différents acteurs fonctionnels d'un processus métier conçoivent ensemble, de façon simple, ludique et rapide, une représentation des processus consensuelle et évolutive. Cette méthode est basée sur le cycle de vie traditionnel de gestion des processus métier, mais introduit 4 phases originales : l'identification, la simulation, l'évaluation et l'amélioration. Ces phases sont basées sur des outils de gestion de la qualité et utilisent un jeu de rôles (serious game) pour rendre la modélisation de processus plus attractive et collaborative. Le résultat est un modèle de processus simple et organisationnellement optimisé que nous transformons ensuite dans un modèle BPMN par une approche de type IDM. / Nowadays, organizations have to be flexible enough to allow adjustments to new circumstances, users' requirements, respecting environmental constraints and technological evolution. Business process management (BPM) technologies provides the base that enables to adapt, optimize and evolve the business. However modeling can be hard and costly, often done by business analyst experts. In contrast, ISEA Method is a collaborative approach that lets functional actors of a process design together in a fun, fast and simple way a consensual and evolved process representation. ISEA Method is based on the traditional BPM life cycle, but introduces four original phases: Identification, Simulation, Evaluation, Amelioration These phases are supported by quality process improvement tools and use a role-playing game (serious game) in order to stimulate people and modeling in a collaborative way. The result is a “basic” and optimized process representation that we convert in a BPMN model by using the IDM approach .

In South African universities where the medium of instruction is English, writing and conceptualisation in English Second Language in Life Sciences are problematic for first year learners. This study focused on the extent to which Afrikaans – and Xhosa mother tongue speakers employ strategies in order to cope with the demands of scientific writing and how it affects their academic performance. The Basic Interpersonal Communication Skills (BICS) and the Cognitive and Academic Language Proficiency (CALP) theories of Cummins as well as the model of Collier provided a theoretical framework for this study. Tests and tutorials were analysed by means of content analysis. Writing strategies such as coherence has an impact on academic performance but there is no set pattern or degree in which different mother tongue speakers employ them. L'organisation classique en silos disciplinaires des industries atteint ses limites pour maîtriser la complexité. Les problèmes sont découverts trop tard et le manque de communication entre les experts empêche l'émergence précoce de solutions. C'est pourquoi, il est urgent de fournir de nouvelles approches collaboratives et des moyens d' interactions entre les disciplines d'ingénierie, au début et tout au long du cycle de développement. Dans ce contexte, nous avons étudié l'approche synchronisation de modèles entre deux domaines d'ingénierie : la conception d'architecture de systèmes et la sûreté de fonctionnement. Elle a pour but de construire et maintenir la cohérence entre les modèles.Ces travaux proposent, étudient et analysent une démarche collaborative de synchronisation de modèles. Ils tiennent compte des contextes d’études, des processus, des méthodes appliqués et des points de vue produits par les ingénieurs. Les contributions répondent à des problématiques au niveau des pratiques, des concepts, de la mise en œuvre, des applications et l’implémentation de la synchronisation de modèles. / Classical organization in disciplinary silos in the industry reaches its limits to manage and control complexity. Problems are discovered too late and the lack of communication between experts prevents the early emergence of solutions. This is why it is urgent to provide new collaborative approaches and ways to exchange the models contents between various engineering fields, early and all along the development cycle. In this context, we are particularly interested in a synchronization approach of models between two engineering fields: system architecture design and dependability analysis.This work proposes a collaborative approach of synchronization of models. It takes into account the study contexts, applied processes, applied methods and viewpoint produced by engineers. Contributions address issues at levels of practices, concepts, implementation, applications and implementation of model synchronization.

Developing a practice guideline for a collaborative approach between the university and families of students involved with substance abuse at Babcock University NigeriaOlaore, Augusta Yetunde 11 1900 (has links)
Substance abuse among university students is increasing globally. Nigeria, with her peculiar class of university students who are younger than global average is not left out. This paper reports a qualitative Intervention research that utilized narrative inquiry instrument to explore the interface of substance abuse issues, disciplinary dilemmas and family involvement at a private university in Nigeria. This research identified challenges and concerns amongst administrators, parents, students and student support services staff. Primary Socialization and Critical theories formed the theoretical backdrop for the research. The participants in the study were members of administration and disciplinary committee (n=10). Parents (n=10), students (n=20) and student support staff (n=10). The findings showed early onset of substance abuse at an average age of 17, which coincides with the average of entry into Nigerian universities. Alcohol and Marijuana was the most preferred drug of choice. 50% of the student participants had family history of substance abuse involvement and 80% was alcohol use. Parental responses such as reduced levels of trust, strained relationships and withdrawal of support and privileges were motivators for students to engage in treatment. Implementation of institutional disciplinary measures for involvement of student with substance abuse such as suspension or expulsion was also indicated as motivators to engage in treatment and maintenance of sobriety, however both parents and students identified the provision of services such as drug screening, counseling and family conferences as having long term impact on staying sober. Both parents and students recommended strict monitoring measures to reduce the incidences of substance abuse on the university campus. The Nigerian cultural value and above global average of parental involvement was a strength that informed the recommendation for a collaborative approach between the university and families of students involved with substance abuse. The responses of university administrators indicated struggles between service and disciplinary responses. The study concluded by proposing a model of approach with practice guidelines for a collaborative approach between the university and families of students involved with substance abuse. Collaborative „junctions‟ with parents were delineated without compromising the institutional policy on substance abuse. / Social Work / D. Phil. (Social Work)

Cette recherche-intervention porte sur l’organisation d’un processus de conception de documents utilisés pour l’exploitation nucléaire : la fabrique de la prescription. Elle s’inscrit dans une approche constructive de l’ergonomie.La construction d’un diagnostic organisationnel permet de caractériser le processus étudié, le travail collectif transverse qu’il implique et de concevoir des outils spécifiques pour l’intervention. Une démarche participative est ensuite mise en œuvre afin de concevoir un dispositif d’expérimentation permettant d’organiser un travail d’organisation transverse. L’expérimentation de ce dispositif renvoie « au carré » de la fabrique de la prescription. Elle aboutit à deux principaux résultats : le développement d’un travail collectif transverse et la mise en visibilité d’un manque de subsidiarité au sein de l’organisation étudiée.L’analyse de la conception et l’expérimentation de ce dispositif permettent de produire des connaissances sur les interventions ergonomiques capacitantes : sur la conception participative de tels dispositifs et méthodes et sur le rôle de la construction sociale de l’intervention. / In our intervention research we investigate the making of prescription, that is, the organization of a design process of prescriptive documents used, in particular, for nuclear power plants. This project is part of a constructive approach to ergonomics.Building of an organizational diagnosis leads to characterize the studied process, transversal collective work it involves, and to develop specific tools for intervention. We implement a participatory design approach in order to design an experimental methodology which supports the organization of a transversal organizational. This experimentation refers to “the square” of the making of prescription. This leads to two main results: the development of a transversal collective work between participants involved, and the highlighting of a lack of subsidiarity within the studied organization.Design and experimentation of the methodology analysis contribute to produce knowledge about enabling ergonomics intervention: on the participatory design of the methodology itself, and on the enhancement of the role of social elaboration of an ergonomics intervention.
