In this masters' work was defined the concept of competence; generalized theories about general and pedagogical competences, their constructive principles, methods, characteristics, levels;discussed new pedagogical competences in European Union, innovative context; revealed opportunities and means of pedagogical competences'development in school considering grown-up learning peculiarities.There is motivated that teachers constantly improve various pedagogical competences in their work place.

Začínající učitel na 1.stupni ZŠ / Beginning Teacher at the first grade of primary school

Diploma thesis addresses the issue of initial training of beginning teachers of primary school in Czech schools. Defines the requirements for successful integration of new employees, as well as suggesting possible standard procedures, methods and assesses the possibility of their use in the school environment. It describes the role of supervising teacher and the meaning of its existence. The task of the practical part is to find out with which kinds of educational activities beginning teachers have problems. In interviews with experienced teachers, we tried to clarify whether at the time of their beginnings had the same problems as current teachers and we wonder on what skills and knowledge should be students of faculties of education trained better. Názory studentů na úroveň osvojení kompetencí potřebných pro výkon učitelské profese / Student opinions on the level of mastering the competencies needed for teaching practice

The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out how much are students feeling prepared for future teacher´s profession in conditions of teaching and major-subject competencies. Questionnaires, which were used to do the survey, were filled in by students of the Faculty of Education, University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice and then teachers, who are already engaged in this profession for several years. This work compares the level of proficiency of pedagogical and major-subject competencies. Furthermore the acquisition of competencies for the undergraduate students is compared with students completing their master degree in following programme and finally how men and women are feeling to be prepared. By the teachers I focused on the reached level of competence straight after finishing their studies followed by the level of competence after a few years of practical teaching. Teachers were questioned about what might help students with their acquirement of teaching skills.
