This work presents a brief study of the conic curves or conic sections. It also shows up some definitions and mathematical properties found in the parable, ellipse and hyperbola, by identifying its main elements. In addition, due to the need to introduce technological resources in the teaching of Mathematics, it presents the GeoGebra, a multiplatform Mathematics software, which makes it possible to offer students a different way to learn mathematical concepts interactively. Thus, a connection between Geometry and Algebra that goes beyond the blackboard and chalk is created. This work also carried out some geometric constructions and solves Math problems using the GeoGebra, constructing, this way, a “step by step” with simple language, so that teachers and students can, through this research, use these constructions as a starting point for learning and software application GeoGebra in teaching Mathematics in Basic Education. / Este trabalho apresenta um breve estudo sobre as curvas cônicas ou seções cônicas. Mostrase também algumas definições e propriedades matemáticas encontradas na parábola, elipse e hipérbole, identificando seus elementos principais. Além disso, devido à necessidade de introduzir recursos tecnológicos no ensino de Matemática, é apresentado o GeoGebra, um software de matemática multiplataforma, o qual torna possível oferecer aos estudantes uma maneira diferente de se aprender os conceitos matemáticos de forma interativa. Assim, é criada uma conexão entre Geometria e Álgebra que vai além do quadro e giz. Neste trabalho, realiza-se, também, algumas construções geométricas e resoluções de problemas com o uso do GeoGebra, elaborando, assim, um “Passo a Passo” com linguagem simples, para que professores e alunos possam através desta pesquisa utilizar essas construções como ponto de partida para aprendizado e aplicação do software GeoGebra no ensino de Matemática na Educação Básica.
