Transculturación del anime: la construcción de la identidad de la comunidad otaku en Lima / Transculturation of anime: the construction of identity in the otaku community of Lima

Pachas Abad, Adriana Nicole 26 June 2020 (has links)
Globalization affects in different aspects the different countries of the world and proof of this inevitable convergence of cultures is anime and the impact that it has had and continues to have worldwide. Therefore, in the following research work, the general objective is to make an analysis of the transculturation process of the Naruto anime in generation Y and Z of the otaku community in Lima from 2000 to the present, and having specific objectives , analyze the influence of anime on the formation of their identity and analyze how the anime narrative influences that it remains a global phenomenon. AFONSO DA MAIA, DA LITERATURA À TELEVISÃO: O processo de transposição do patriarca Maia do romance eciano para a minissérie global

Vogler, Bianca do Rocio 26 September 2014 (has links)

No. of bitstreams: 1 Bianca do Rocio Vogler.pdf: 886094 bytes, checksum: db3486c650f01f42b65fc8ee31927a18 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2014-09-26 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / In this dissertation, I analyze how the character Afonso da Maia is built in the novel The Maias, by Eca de Queiroz, and in the eponymous miniseries, originally broadcast in Brazil by Globo TV in 2001, having the playwright Maria Adelaide Amaral as a screenwriter, Luiz Fernando Carvalho as a director and the actor Walmor Chagas as a performer of this character. Thus, initially, the observation of some characteristics of Eça's writing enables us to understand the way the Portuguese writer uses them in the process of creating the character of the patriarch Maia in order to compose both the physical and psychological makeup of what I consider to be the fundamental character in the novel. And as the analysis is guided by the relationship between the television adaptation and the literary text on which it is based, I see that the theoretical concepts to be covered must contribute to the understanding of the dialogism that presents itself as basic to every creative movement. Thus, by taking into account certain concepts of the theories of Walter Benjamin and Mikhail Bakhtin, I mean to provide an understanding of how the approaches of the two philosophers, each in his own area and developing his views about different issues, may contribute to the study of the relationship between literature and film/television, especially regarding the audiovisual adaptations of literary texts. And, from such considerations with respect to how the character Afonso da Maia is built through some of the specifics of Eça de Queiroz's writing and also the issues detected in the relationship between the literary and the audiovisual media, I seek to investigate how the authors of the television text perform the adaptation of such character to a medium with distinct features of significance, but nonetheless manage to appropriate certain elements used by the Portuguese writer, as well as undertake some additions and modifications, in order to build the senses that pertain to the figure of the patriarch.

Disneys Frost : ”A Frozen Heart Worth Mining” / Disney’s Frozen : ”A Frozen Heart Worth Mining”

Persdotter, Klara January 2015 (has links)
This study aims to examine how and what Disney is communicating to its audience through its movie Frozen (2013). Since Disney currently is a dominant party of the movie entertainment for children they bear a great responsibility for the messages they convey through their movies, as children may be influenced by them. In this study, Frozen (2013) has been studied by a qualitative text analysis using Peter Dahlgren's approach for analyzing media text, with focus on the textual construction and the narrative dynamics of the media text (the movie). The analysis was made based on a norm-critical perspective. The analysis showed that Frozen breaks free from many of Disney's past patterns and structures and manages to create a less predictable tale. The analysis also showed the emergence of a new role; the fake villain, used precisely in order to create a less predictable tale. In differences from several earlier portrayals of the Disney Princess Frozen shows two feminine strong and independent female characters, who act on their own authority. Frozen also questions Disney's previous attitude concerning that love can arise at first sight, and that romantic love is the strongest and most valuable type of love. For the first time in forever in a Princess movie Frozen manages to portray love between family members as stronger than romantic love.
