O corpo, apartado da mente pela modernidade, torna-se cada vez mais uma máquina que assiste à ruptura do ser humano com a natureza. Na sociedade de consumo busca-se o lucro, o poder, a perfeição, valorizando-se o pensamento racionalista e reducionista. Essa dicotomia entre o corpo e a mente se faz presente na educação. As atuais metodologias para o ensino da arte acabam por engessar as leituras das imagens num único olhar correto para a obra de arte e, por conseqüência, redundam na elaboração de trabalhos artísticos desprovidos de qualquer significação pessoal. Essas metodologias por vezes enfocam uma atitude de valorização do pensar sobre o sentir. A tese defende a importância do trabalho com arte na escola de modo a se integrar o saber sensível e o conhecimento inteligível, destacando que o ensino da arte necessita ser pensado para além dos aspectos apenas cognitivistas. Entendendo a arte como uma construção simbólica que relaciona o mundo que nós vivemos ao mundo que nós pensamos, a possibilidade de trabalho na escola se abre para uma ponte entre o sensível e o inteligível. A arte se apresenta como uma antítese a essa sociedade de homens-máquinas, possibilitando que nos percebamos sensivelmente humanos. O recorte temporal desta tese aborda o ensino da arte nas décadas finais do século XX trazendo para a discussão a realidade do estado do Paraná pelo viés de uma professora de artes visuais. O objetivo desta tese é contribuir para as discussões acerca dos caminhos para o trabalho com a arte nas escolas em relação às questões referentes à presença das imagens e obras de arte nas aulas, superando a visão apenas cognitivista e enfatizando que é por meio da educação estética que podemos conhecer melhor o nosso entorno e nós mesmos, auxiliando o desenvolvimento de uma atitude crítica e sensível frente ao mundo / Abstract: The universe of this research is set around the processes that led to loss of sensation and sense of dehumanization in modern society. The body, apart from the modern mind, it becomes increasingly a machine that assists the breakdown of man and nature. In the consumer society we seek to profit, power, perfection, valuing the rationalist and reductionist. This dichotomy between body and mind is present in education. The current methods for teaching the art eventually stifle the readings of the images look correct for a single work of art and, consequently, result in the development of artistic works devoid of any personal significance. These methods often focus on an appreciation of the attitude of thinking over feeling. The thesis argues for the importance of working with art in school in order to integrate knowledge and knowledge intelligible sensitive, pointing out that art education needs to be thought beyond the cognitive aspects only. Understanding art as a symbolic construction that relates the world we live in the world that we think, the ability to work in the school opens to a bridge between the sensible and intelligible. The art is presented as an antithesis to that company of men, machines, enabling us to realize substantially human. The time range of this thesis covers the teaching of art in the final decades of the twentieth century bringing to discussion the reality of the state of Paraná from the perspective of a professor of visual arts. The aim of this thesis is to contribute to discussions of ways to work with art in schools in relation to issues concerning the presence of images and works of art classes, exceeding the vision and cognitive emphasizing that only through education is cosmetic we can better understand our surroundings and ourselves, helping the development of a critical and sensitive to the world / Doutorado / Artes Visuais / Doutor em Artes
