W. F. Hegel, tomando por base o enfrentamento de Hegel com o que ele vê como deficiências no projeto crítico kantiano de fundamentação da metafísica, deficiências essas cuja origem – não atribuída, contudo, ao próprio Kant – seria a tendência à fixação em pontos de vista filosóficos unilaterais. Por meio da proposição especulativa, Hegel tenta mostrar, contra Kant, que a razão – entendida como o ponto de vista da infinitude – pode, sim, pretender conhecer discursivamente o absoluto. Nesse sentido, a crítica hegeliana desdobra-se como o movimento histórico e [auto]formativo das consciências de si, em suas relações orgânicas, vivas, de reconhecimento, sob o pano de fundo de uma intersubjetividade forte. É essa atividade crítica dialética – o próprio movimento especulativo, o qual, refletindo a união entre as dimensões teórica e prática, reconcilia pensamento e obra (e, nestes, universal e particular, razão e entendimento) – que permite a constituição e a compreensão do absoluto (ou do espírito) como eticidade (Sittlichkeit). ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This dissertation discusses the concept of critique in G. W. F. Hegel’s Phenomenology of the Spirit [1807] on the basis of Hegel’s struggle against what he considered to be deficiencies in the Kantian critical project of establishing the fundamentals of metaphysics – and those deficiencies have roots (which are not attributable to Kant himself) in a tendency to fixation on unilateral philosophical points of view. Through speculative proposition, Hegel attempts to demonstrate, against Kant, that reason – understood as the point of view of the infinite – is able to discursively know the absolute. In that sense, the Hegelian critique develops itself as the historical and (auto)formative movement of self-consciousness, in its organic, living relations – recognition relations --, on the basis of a strong notion of intersubjectivity. It is this dialectical critical activity – the speculative movement itself, which, as a result of the union between the theoretical and practical dimensions, reconciles thought and work (and, in them, universal and particular, reason and understanding) – that allows the constitution and the comprehension of the absolute (or the spirit) as ethical life (Sittlichkeit).
