No. of bitstreams: 1 Lima_IsisPenna_M.pdf: 10904649 bytes, checksum: 05b512151aa1415a6a50cbeb4f703403 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2012 / Resumo: O presente trabalho aborda a reinvenção do patrimônio cultural de Ilhéus-BA pela obra do escritor Jorge Amado que reconstruiu a imagem do centro histórico da cidade e revalorizou o seu patrimônio edificado como um lugar de memória, um documento histórico e cultural. Essa memória resignificada pelas obras do escritor reforça a identidade da cidade vinculada ao período do cacau e contribui no processo de transformação do patrimônio cultural em recurso econômico e turístico. Nesse sentido, a pesquisa reflete sobre as relações existentes entre o planejamento urbano, a atividade turística e o patrimônio arquitetônico da cidade de Ilhéus-BA, assim como seus reflexos nas estratégias de inclusão social. Para tanto, foi realizada um discussão teórica, que interpreta o patrimônio histórico arquitetônico não apenas como formas a serem preservadas, mas formas-conteúdo que respondem, historicamente, à dinâmica social (SANTOS, 2002). Assim, constata que Ilhéus vem buscando, por meio de seus planos estratégicos preparar parte de seu território para a implantação e a dinamização da atividade turística no município. Essas estratégias demonstram que o processo de refuncionalização turística do patrimônio cultural produz e consome o espaço, assinalando mesmo que de forma ínfima, maior fluxo de visitantes, equipamentos e serviços requeridos pela atividade. A importância deste trabalho se resume no aprofundamento das reflexões sobre as estratégias de acesso democrático ao patrimônio cultural, e não apenas de sua refuncionalização turística / Abstract: This paper discusses the reinvention of the cultural heritage of Ilheus-BA by the work of writer Jorge Amado who rebuilt the image of the historic city center and revised its equity built as a place of memory, a cultural and historical document. This memory works by the writer resignified reinforced the identity of the city linked to the period of cocoa and contributes to the transformation of cultural heritage in tourism and economic resource. In this sense, the research reflects on the relationship between the urban planning, tourism and architectural heritage of the city of Ilheus, Bahia, as well as its impact on social inclusion strategies. For this purpose, we performed a theoretical discussion, which interprets the architectural heritage not only as ways to be preserved, but content-types that respond historically to the social dynamics (Santos, 2002). Thus, there has been seeking to Ilheus, through their strategic plans to prepare part of its territory for the deployment and boosting tourism in the municipality. These strategies show that the process of cultural heritage tourism refunctionalisation produces and consumes space, noting albeit tiny, increased flow of visitors, equipment and services required for the activity.
