Vážená hloubka dat a diskriminace založená na hloubce dat / Weighted Data Depth and Depth Based Discrimination

Vencálek, Ondřej January 2011 (has links)
The concept of data depth provides a powerful nonparametric tool for multivariate data analysis. We propose a generalization of the well-known halfspace depth called weighted data depth. The weighted data depth is not affine invariant in general, but it has some useful properties as possible nonconvex central areas. We further discuss application of data depth methodology to solve discrimination problem. Several classifiers based on data depth are reviewed and one new classifier is proposed. The new classifier is a modification of k-nearest- neighbour classifier. Classifiers are compared in a short simulation study. Advantage gained from use of the weighted data depth for discrimination purposes is shown.

Sufixové grafy a bezeztrátová komprese dat / Suffix Graphs and Lossless Data Compression

Senft, Martin January 2013 (has links)
Title: Suffix Graphs and Lossless Data Compression Author: Martin Senft Department: Department of Software and Computer Science Education Supervisor of the doctoral thesis: doc. RNDr. Tomáš Dvorˇák, CSc., Depart- ment of Software and Computer Science Education Abstract: Suffix tree and its variants are widely studied data structures that enable an efficient solution to a number of string problems, but also serve for implementation of data compression algorithms. This work explores the opposite approach: design of compression methods, based entirely on prop- erties of suffix graphs. We describe a unified construction algorithm for suf- fix trie, suffix tree, DAWG and CDAWG, accompanied by analysis of implicit suffix link simulation that yields two practical alternatives. Since the com- pression applications require maintaining text in the sliding window, an in- depth discussionof slidingsuffixgraphsisneeded. Fillinggapsin previously published proofs, we verify that suffix tree is capable of perfect sliding in amortised constant time. On the other hand, we show that this is not the case with CDAWG, thus resolving a problem of Inenaga et al. Building on these investigations,we describea family of data compression methods, based on a description of suffix tree construction for the string to be compressed. While some of...

Vážené poloprostorové hloubky a jejich vlastnosti / Weighted Halfspace Depths and Their Properties

Kotík, Lukáš January 2015 (has links)
Statistical depth functions became well known nonparametric tool of multivariate data analyses. The most known depth functions include the halfspace depth. Although the halfspace depth has many desirable properties, some of its properties may lead to biased and misleading results especially when data are not elliptically symmetric. The thesis introduces 2 new classes of the depth functions. Both classes generalize the halfspace depth. They keep some of its properties and since they more respect the geometric structure of data they usually lead to better results when we deal with non-elliptically symmetric, multimodal or mixed distributions. The idea presented in the thesis is based on replacing the indicator of a halfspace by more general weight function. This provides us with a continuum, especially if conic-section weight functions are used, between a local view of data (e.g. kernel density estimate) and a global view of data as is e.g. provided by the halfspace depth. The rate of localization is determined by the choice of the weight functions and theirs parameters. Properties including the uniform strong consistency of the proposed depth functions are proved in the thesis. Limit distribution is also discussed together with some other data depth related topics (regression depth, functional data depth)...

Distribuované databázové systémy / Distributed database systems

GEYER, Jakub January 2015 (has links)
This thesis has for its aim to contribute to the problematics of big data distribution on the database level. Particular means of data distribution are analysed, especially in regard to its possible decentralised usage. Acquired findings are consequently used for the creation of the database system concept that enables saving and sharing of biological samples created by measuring with the aid of mass spectrometer.

Ekonomické dopady invazí nepůvodních druhů / Economical impact of invasion IAS

Tyrpekl, Lukáš January 2016 (has links)
The invasion of plants and animals species are considered as one of the main danger for diversity of natural ecosystems worldwide. With destruction of habitats represent the main reason of the current global wave of taxa extinctions. The obviousness of biological invasions are financial costs in different branches connected with their prevention and liquidation. The main purpose of this master thesis was to evaluate the economic impacts of invasion of the selected invasive species, concretely Grand hogweed (Heracleum mantegazzianum), Himalayan balsam (Impatiens glandulifera), Giant goldenrod and Canadian (Solidago gigantea and canadensis) and also Japanese knotweed, Giant knotweed and Bohemian knotweed (Reynoutria japonica, sachalinensis and × bohemica). As an area of interest was Třeboňsko chosen, where the economic impact of these invasive species based on the results of field investigation was evaluated with in cooperation with an owners of the affected land. Also, ecosystem damage were registered and total financial damage was estimated.

Analýza datových zdrojů ve státní správě / Data Source Analysis in State Administration

Rezek, Martin January 2016 (has links)
This diploma thesis tackles the issue of data sources used in state administration. Its aim is to carry out a process analysis of data sources used in internal processes within the Czech Social Security Administration authority (Česká správa sociálního zabezpečení) and propose changes to optimise processes within the institution. The theoretical part of the thesis defines communication between a citizen and public administration and describes its basic elements. It also looks at the Process Management In Public Administration project and the evaluation of applications for new ICT projects. The practical part deals with the application of the theoretical findings to processes within a particular body of the state administration, the CSSA. The resulting proposal to optimise selected processes within the entire CSSA institution is based on a process analysis of data sources from a branch of the District Social Security Administration office (Okresní správa sociálního zabezpečení) as well as two case studies.

Využití Business Intelligence v soukromém a veřejném sektoru / Application of Business Intelligence in Private and Public Sector

Todorov, Lukáš January 2016 (has links)
The diploma thesis focuses on the present state of Application of Business Intelligence (BI) in Private and Public Sector in the Czech Republic. The first part of this thesis is theoretically oriented and describes the BI evolution, finds its present definition and specifies the relationship to the related fields a branches. There are identified the BI users and there is also described the position of BI in IS/ICT in the organization. After that follows the description of the principles of BI, it means that the components are taken to pieces. The final part shows the possible comprehensive BI solution. The second part is practice-oriented and explores the present state of application of BI in private and public sector and describes the expected BI evolution until 2020. The thesis deals with the potential application of BI and possibilities how to obtain the subsidies from the EU for its implementation in each sector. After that there are described the barriers to implementation of BI and shown some specific examples of significant software solutions in these sectors. Then there are summarized the main differences in application of BI in each sector. The final part focuses on the on-line application research and its evaluation. The diploma thesis shows, why the BI is one of the most perspective business informatics areas. The thesis is also high-quality typographically elaborated.

Divadlo a nová média / Theatre and New Media

Haplová, Barbora January 2017 (has links)
The Master Thesis Theatre and New Media, New Media in the Components of Theatre Performance explores ways in which new media technology are able to integrate to theatre performances on particular examples. It investigates the type of theatre performances where new media have a major influence. The first part of this thesis aims to grasp the terminology of new media, in order to subsequently apply it in theatre context. This part draws mainly from The Principles of New Media of Lev Manovich, Notes on Study of New Media from Jakub Macek and Remediation from J. David Bolter and Richard Grusin. The second part introduces the Czech theatre theory perspective on the components of theatre performance. The starting point of this part is Estetika dramatického umění (The Esthetics of dramatic art) by Otakar Zich. Zich’s theory is continuously commented with following essays: Člověk a předmět na divadle (Man and an Object in Theatre) by Jiří Veltruský, Pohyb divadelního znaku (Movement of the Theatre Sign) by Jindřich Honzl and K dnešnímu stavu teorie divadla (On State of Theatre Theory Nowadays) by Jan Mukařovský. Consequently the theoretical part aims to outline the theme of integration of new media to the components of theatre performance using the term ‚components‘ in the meaning suggested in Jaroslav Etlík’s essay Termíny k dohodnutí (Terms to negotiation). Building up on these theoretical contexts, the third part of this theses analyses three theatre performances: NICK (Petra Tejnorová a kol.); Eleusis (Handa Gote Research & Development) a The Game (Almeida Theatre). It aims to describe ways of integration of the new media to the components of particular theatre performances. Consequently it focuses on verifying the assumption, that the level of integration is connected with participation of the new media on the overall meaning of the theatre performance. In the Conclusion the attempt of creating a ‚scale of integration of new media to theatre performance‘ is summed up.
