In the context of models with defects, we treat these transformations and we realized that they are hidden under the form of conditions over the defect. At the end, using the deep relations between classical theories of surfaces and solitons, we show that the Bäcklund and Darboux methods are intimately related with the classical Tzitzéica transformation
