Orientador: Eduardo Ismael Murguia Marañon / Banca: Mariângela Spotti Lopes Fujita / Banca: Eliana Serrão Alves Mey / Resumo: Trata-se de um estudo acerca dos sistemas de classificação bibliográfica, especificamente a Classificação Decimal de Dewey (CDD), um dos instrumentos de organização da informação mais utilizados em bibliotecas generalistas do Brasil e do mundo. Estudos recentes têm demonstrado que tais instrumentos não são neutros em relação a valores e aspectos culturais. Tais instrumentos são investigados à luz de uma segunda temática, a paz, e compreende os recentes avanços na concepção do conceito de paz e seus desdobramentos nos campos teórico e prático: a área de Estudos para Paz e o movimento de Cultura de Paz. Tem como objetivo investigar o tratamento dado à temática da paz na CDD. Especificamente, buscou-se verificar e analisar os conceitos de paz, o movimento denominado Cultura de Paz e o campo teórico Estudos para Paz nas 21ª e 22ª edições da Classificação Decimal de Dewey. Estas proposições pretendem responder aos seguintes questionamentos: está a CDD apta para lidar adequadamente com a organização de documentos cujos conteúdos se referem, primeiro, ao conceito de paz, em sua acepção geral; segundo, ao campo de Estudos para Paz; e, terceiro, ao movimento Cultura de Paz? Discute-se, ainda, a relação de influência mútua entre as sociedades e as classificações bibliográficas. Tratar-se de pesquisa teórica e exploratória, devido aos objetivos e à aproximação das temáticas propostos. Os procedimentos metodológicos e técnicos de pesquisa empregados foram o levantamento bibliográfico e a análise documental. A análise dos dados confirmou a hipótese inicial de que a Classificação Decimal de Dewey não está apta a lidar com os temas relativos ao conceito de paz, ao movimento social denominado Cultura de Paz e ao campo de Estudos para Paz. Por fim, considera-se que a Classificação Decimal de Dewey tem contribuído, ainda que de maneira bastante sutil, para a perpetuação de uma Cultura da Guerra. / Abstract: It is treated of a study concerning the systems of bibliographical classification, specifically the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC), one of the instruments of Knowledge Organization more used in generalists libraries in Brazil and in the world. Recent studies have been demonstrating that such instruments are not neutral in relation to values and cultural aspects. Such instruments are investigated to the light of a second theme, the peace, and it comprises the recent progress in the peace concept and their unfoldings in the theoretical and practical fields: the area of Peace Research and the Culture of Peace movement. It has as objective to verify and to analyze the treatment given to the theme of the peace in DDC. Specifically, it was looked for to verify and to analyze the peace concepts, the movement denominated Culture of Peace and the theoretical field Studies for Paz in the 21st and 22nd editions of the Dewey Decimal Classification. These propositions intend to answer to the following questions: is it DDC capable to work appropriately with the organization of documents whose contents refer, first, to the peace concept, in its general meaning; second, to the Peace Research field; and, third, to Culture of Peace Movement? It is discussed, still, the relationship of mutual influence between the societies and the bibliographical classifications. It's about theoretical and exploratory research, due to the objectives and to the approach of the themes proposed. The methodological and technical procedures of research used were the bibliographical review and the documental analysis. Essa relação é objeto de estudo dessa pesquisa, que se pautará na análise do formato de intercâmbio de dados bibliográficos Machine Readable Cataloging, MARC 21, em sua versão em Extensible Markup Language, XML, linguagem de marcação que prove mecanismos de comunicação de dados desenvolvida pela Ciência da Computação, caracterizando o referencial teórico da pesquisa a partir da interdisciplinaridade existente. O objetivo da pesquisa é destacar a importância da XML para a Ciência da Informação, a partir da própria estrutura da linguagem e de estudos sobre Formas de Representação, apresentando a versão MARC 21 em XML como ferramenta adequada para representação documentária. A proposição apresenta subsídios teóricos e metodológicos que destaca o MARC 21 em sua versão XML como uma relevante opção de representação documentária, e promove uma discussão sobre a necessidade de desenvolvimento de ferramentas de software e não de novos métodos de representação. That relation is the object of study of this research, that it will be ruled in the analysis of the format of exchange of bibliographical data Machine Readable Cataloging, MARC 21, in its version in Extensible Markup Language, XML, demarcation language that proves mechanisms of communication of data developed by the Science of the Computation, characterizing the theoretical referencial of the research starting from the existent interdisciplinary. The objective of the research is to detach the importance of XML for the Science of the Information, starting from the own structure of the language and of studies on Forms of Representation, introducing the version MARC 21 in XML as appropriate tool for documentary representation. The proposition presents theoretical and methodological subsidies that it detaches MARC 21 in its version XML as a relevant option of documentary representation, and it promotes a discussion about the need of development of software tools and not of new representation methods. No caso específico do Direito, a especificidade e a atualização desses instrumentos torna-se determinante, visto ser um campo em constante desenvolvimento, com rápida incorporação de novos termos na área de especialidade. No caso específico do Brasil, dispõe-se da Classificação Decimal de Direito, que, nem mesmo em sua edição mais recente (2002) prevê subdivisões específicas para a área de Direito Processual do Trabalho. Isso que gera a impossibilidade de representação dos assuntos desse ramo jurídico, principalmente no caso dos recursos trabalhistas, que possuem grande especificidade temática e intensa produção documental. Dessa forma, objetivou-se realizar um cotejo entre a área de Direito Processual do Trabalho (por meio da identificação e hierarquização de seus termos de acordo com a doutrina brasileira) e a estrutura conceitual e notacional da Classificação Decimal de Direito, de modo a fornecer subsídios metodológicos para o processo de extensão e atualização da mesma no âmbito dos recursos trabalhistas. Para tanto, utilizou-se de obras doutrinárias, por serem consideradas como fontes para a estruturação do conhecimento na área. Partindo da caracterização dos recursos no âmbito do Direito Processual do Trabalho brasileiro, adentrou-se na abordagem do tratamento temático da informação, com especial destaque à estrutura notacional e terminológica da Classificação Decimal de Direito, que apresenta uma simbiose entre o aspecto... (Resumo completo, clicar acessar eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The organization and representation of the knowledge registered or socialized implies the usage of documentary languages, in a field that bibliographic classification systems stand in bold relief, which not only determine the physical localization of a document in an information unit but also represent the area of speciality related to the subject of the document. In the specific case of Law, the speciality and the update of these instruments become determinative, because it is a field in constant development, with a fast embodiment of new terms in the speciality area. In the specific case of Brazil, there is the Law Decimal Classification, which not even in its more recent edition (2002) foresee specific subdivision of labor law procedures. This is what generates the impossibility of the representation of the subjects of this juridical sphere, especially in working resources stance, which have a great thematic specificity and intense documentary production. In this way, we tried to make a comparison between the labor law procedures area (by the identification and act hierarchizing of its terms according to Brazilian doctrine) and the conceptual and notational structure of Law Decimal Classification, so as to provide methodological subsidy to the enlargement and update process of the structure in the working resources field. To do that it was used doctrinaire literatures, because they are considered as sources to the knowledge structuring in the area.
