The sugarcane is of great importance for the Brazilian agribusiness. Brazil is the world largest producer of this crop. The mechanized system in the harvest of sugarcane is one of the factors that contributed to the Brazilian sugar-energy sector being more sustainable with positive impacts in the environmental, economic, social and agronomic areas. The use of methodologies becomes necessary to test the machines in a concise way by assessing their operational performance and the quality of agricultural operations, assisting in decision making operational, administrative and financial perspective. In the context of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT) there is no standard for testing with chopping of sugar cane with standardized procedures, which make the comparisons between the results of various tests. The objective of this work was to present the parameters for the standardization of the tests of chopping of sugarcane, based on the methodology used by the Center for Testing of machines and Agroforestry Tires (Nempa) of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences (FCA) of UNESP, Botucatu, arising from work carried out by several authors, using as factors for evaluating the operational performance and harvest quality. We used data from several test reports of field that used the same methodology, in different locations in the country and abroad, with harvesting of sugarcane one and two lines for different agricultural yields, sizes of rushes, slope of the terrain, travel speed and rotation of the motor. The quality indicators and performance assessed during the study were the fuel consumption, the visible losses in the field, the strange matter of vegetable origin and mineral, the height of the stumps of the ratoon and its damage and shocks. The agricultural productivity of sugarcane field and the speed of displacement of the harvester influenced on the results of the indicators evaluated during the study. The methodology used in the testing of sugarcane harvesters in the field presented compatible results among themselves and with the bibliography consulted, showing it to be a reliable technique in relation to the parameters evaluated, for both one and two lines of sugarcane harvesters.

The Impact of Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction in Hotel Business Development : Correlation Between Customer Satisfaction and Service Quality

Bhuian, Dider January 2021 (has links)
This research aimed to study the correlation between customer satisfaction and service quality in the hotel business. It also outlines the significance of understanding customer satisfaction and how customers distinguish service delivery. Customers have changed prospects based on their consideration of service or product quality. This factor is an indication that a customer determines the quality of service in the hotel industry. Also, the five-dimensional aspects of service quality (empathy, reliability, tangibles, responsiveness, and service assurance) impact service quality and customer satisfaction. This research empirically studied the connection between service quality and customer satisfaction in Best Western Princess Hotel in Norrköping, Sweden. Out of the 100 questionnaires sent to respondents, a total of 80 questionnaires were returned. This data, therefore, formed the basis for our analysis. The study entailed the use of qualitative descriptive research. Open-ended questionnaires were used for data collection. The statistics were coded and analysed using the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) software. The study also contains appropriate recommendations similar to conclusions regarding the research problem. Evaluation of the outcomes shows that responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and reliability significantly influence customer satisfaction hence determining the nature of services provided. This research indicates a close correlation between service quality, the five-dimensional aspects, and customer satisfaction.

This work deals with the neutrality/externality problem of the descriptive method of analytical legal positivist theories. The first chapter investigates the roots of philosophical empiricism in the Scottish philosopher David Hume, seeking its philosophical origins and foundations, which support the basic structure of analytical legal positivism. It seeks, therefore, to establish the basic premises of such philosophical current and the respective incorporations within the positivistic legal theories. The second chapter seeks to focus more specifically on the central question regarding the descriptive method. With an explanatory approach, it seeks to detail how the descriptive method was incorporated into jurisprudence by Jeremy Bentham — which was maintained by John Austin, Herbert L. Hart, and, in this decade, by Scott J. Shapiro. It is, therefore, a historical reconstruction of the descriptive method within jurisprudence and legal theory. The third chapter, in its turn, presents the main criticisms of the descriptive method, especially the criticisms directed against the (supposed) neutrality of it, and the consequent rigid distinction between fact and value. The main purpose of the work is, therefore, a general exposition of the origins of the descriptive method; its maintenance and evolution in jurisprudence; and the main criticisms. The work’s approach is the hermeneutical "method", the basis of the Hermeneutical Critique of Law, and also a bibliographical revision. As partial results, it can be said, from the philosophical referential adopted by analytical legal positivist theories, albeit unconsciously, that the characteristics of the scientist's neutrality and externality cannot be more than mere artificial constructs, insofar as the rigid distinction between fact and value has already been overcome in both theoretical and practical scopes of philosophy and law. The introduction of the experimental method of reasoning in legal theory, therefore, fails to achieve the advocated neutrality/externality.

The journey of a trainee therapist : from an intrapsychic to an ecosystemic description

Aarons, Zahava 11 1900 (has links)
This is a postmodernist dissertation contextualised within the new epistemology. The dissertation's descriptive methodology mirrors a personal journey from intrapsychic to ecosystemic psychology which operates within the domain of language and narrative discourse. As such it is founded on the principles of ecosystemic rather than Newtonian thinking. A conversation between various participants constructs the dissertatioi1 through polyphony and academic dialogue. This is then deconstructed through the use of metalogue thereby allowing the dissertation to operate simultaneously on a number of different levels. As it is a postmodernist text, the structure is in a sense an 'anti-structure' in that it is indirect while it is still acknowledged as a construction. In this way it is constructed and deconstructed in terms of its own premises. Expectations in terms of conventional dissertation formulae are challenged without negating academic requirements. / Psychology / M.A. (Clinical Psychology)
