No. of bitstreams: 0 Previous issue date: 2017-06-20 / This work aims to understand, under a phenomenological perspective inspired by Merleau-Ponty, the lived experience of a subject that uses the Internet intensely, and identifying modes of addiction and possible associated pathologies. Time is considered a fundamental dimension of human life and has always gained the attention of scholars in different areas of knowledge. The Internet has changed our relationship with time and also transformed our individual and collective experiences, generating new forms of subjectivity and intersubjectivity. In contemporary society, individuals are increasingly connected to the network. In this context, we can find people who prioritize online relationships more than physical contacts. The excessive use of the Internet is related to cultural changes and can generate suffering and several damages to the subject, among which are family, school and affective problems, for example. Through the phenomenological lens of Merleau-Ponty and based on a case study, we have been able to look at Internet dependence as a phenomenon linked to the relations established between man and the world today, whether in the individual or collective sphere. Relations that are inseparable from the elements that make up the Lebenswelt (living world) of the human being, such as temporality. Keywords: Time lived; Internet addiction; Merleau-Ponty; phenomenological psychopathology; case study. / O objetivo deste trabalho é compreender, sob um olhar fenomenológico inspirado em Merleau-Ponty, a experiência do tempo vivido de um sujeito que utiliza a Internet intensamente, identificado modos de dependência e possíveis patologias associadas. Considerado uma dimensão fundamental da vida humana, o tempo sempre ganhou a atenção de estudiosos nas mais diferentes áreas do saber. A Internet mudou a nossa relação com o tempo e também transformou nossas experiências, individuais e coletivas, gerando novas formas de subjetividade e intersubjetividade. Na sociedade contemporânea, os indivíduos estão cada vez mais conectados à rede. Nesse contexto, é comum encontrarmos pessoas que priorizam relações online em detrimento de contatos físicos. O uso excessivo da Internet está relacionado a mudanças culturais, podendo gerar sofrimento e diversos prejuízos ao sujeito, entre os quais estão problemas familiares, escolares e afetivos, por exemplo. Através da lente fenomenológica de Merleau-Ponty e com base em um estudo de caso, conseguimos olhar para a dependência de Internet como um fenômeno ligado às relações estabelecidas entre homem e mundo na atualidade, seja em âmbito individual ou coletivo. Relações que são inseparáveis dos elementos que constituem o Lebenswelt (mundo vivido) do ser humano, como a temporalidade.
