Algoritmo para interpretação das alterações ósseas pela imaginologia odontológica / Algorithm for interpretation of bone changes by dental Imaging

Santos, Elza Maria Carneiro Mendes Ferreira dos 17 May 2018 (has links)
The objective of this study was to elaborate a methodology to be used in the imaging exam with the purpose of creating a digital application to aid in the identification of the entity involved in bone alterations by dental imaging. The algorithm created allowed to guide the diagnosis by image through the imaging examination. It was standardized as follows: 1) creation of a database, which was constituted by means of radiographic characteristics in 19 (nineteen) pathologies: Ameloblastoma, Cementoblastoma, Stafne\'s Cyst, Dentigerous Cyst, Nasopalatine Cyst, Simple Bone Cyst, Adenomatoid Odontogenic Tumor, Calcifying Epithelial Odontogenic Tumor, Central Ossific Fibroma, Periapical Cement Dysplasia, and Dysplasia Bone Cement, Florida, Florida, United States of America Cystic Fibrosis, Cystic Fibroma, Dysplasia, Cystic Fibrosis, described by the authors Langlais (1), White (2), Whaites (3), Sapp (4), Haiter Neto (5) and Watanabe (6). 2) for each pathology, a spreadsheet containing the respective radiographic descriptions of the bone alterations found and described by each one of the mentioned authors was elaborated; 3) in front of the information the contents were organized, through different tests of combinations of the criteria and respective characteristics, using an application prototype. It can be concluded that it was possible to assure the validity of the methodology, thus establishing the systematization of the data and consequently the elaboration of the algorithm.
