Slovní zásoba současné dětské populace / Vocabulary of current children's population

The submitted thesis is focused on lexical - semantic level of language in children in pre- school age. The focuses of thesis is on expressive and receptive vocabulary. The first part of thesis outlines the theoretical basis with using literature. It discusses the development of speech in terms of language levels, diagnose and develop of vocabulary and personality of preschool child. The practical part describes own research of vocabulary, which was carried out using the Test of expressive and receptive vocabulary, that was created on the basis of CREVT-2 foreign test and evaluates the level of vocabulary. The testing was realized in four kindergartens. The intact population of children in age 4, 5, 6 to 7 years was testing. Various age groups are compared with each other and they are investigated differences between them. The research part evaluates the level of expressive and receptive vocabulary of preschool children and should point out on importance of developing the vocabulary at this age.

This theses deals with diagnostic of speech development of pre-school children. Its focus is on lexical-semantic language level. The goal of my work is to trace and map diagnostic possibilities in the lexical- semantic area of of pre-school children and to introduce the international PPVT test , considering its adaptation into czech language environment. Theses consists of two parts - the theoretical and empiric. Theoretical part is concern with the most important theories and personalities in the speech development and the process of experiencing language, characteristics of pre-school period, ontogenesis of speech and the ways to evaluate vocabulary and semantics in Czech and overseas. The empiric part examines the usages of PPVT in czech environment. The survey was realised by quantitative research, using datas from 236 tested individuals. The PPVT was adapted into czech language and given to preschool children, whose results were compared with the results of american children. The outcomes of the empiric part could be a solution for future research in the area, with the purpose of adapting a testing- language instrument into czech language and widening the limited possibilities in the field of language and speech development evaluation. Jazykové uvědomování u dětí na počátku školní docházky / Language Awareness of Children at the Early School

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the linguistic awareness of children at the first and second grade of elementary school in both reading methods, i.e. the analytic-synthetic and the genetic method of reading. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the critical analysis of the terms "linguistic awareness" and "linguistic sense" is done and further the approaches and traditions used abroad are compared to actual situation in the Czech Republic. In the analytic part of the thesis, the research project focused on the comparison of two tests of linguistic awareness is developed. The first method is the traditional Linguistic Sense Examination (Žlab, 1992), used not only for the diagnosing of the specific learning disorders, but also for diagnosing of bilingual children, children from minority groups and children with hearing or mental disabilities. The second method is the new Linguistic Awareness Test (Kucharská, Šmejkalová, under the preparation) prepared in the cooperation with Department of Czech Language and the Department of psychology PedF UK. The aim of the thesis "Role of preparatory classes in prevention of specific learning disabilities" is to compare intervention of kindergarten and elementary school preparratory classes during suspension of school attendance. It describes all the kinds of specific learning disabilities. It works out in detail diagnostics of specific learning disabilities risk factors from the special education perspective. It offers integral methodology for time undemanding orientational testing of specific learning disabilities risk factors for preschool children. This methodology was used for testing children with suspended school attendance at the start of a school year and in A March of the same school year. The topic of my Diplome Thesis is Personal Education and its influence on the class climate at Primary School. In the theoretical part i describe the class climate, its participants, types, approaches and methods of its research. Thereafter, I explore how to optimize class climate. In the second part I describe the Personal and Social Edusation. I analyse the benefits of this croos- curricular topic, I split its contents on the topics and in conclusion, I analyse methodology principles and scheme of work with the aktivity of the Personal and Social Education. In the practical part I do the initial diagnosis of the climate in my class. It builds long- term interventions implemented activities of the Personal and Social Education, which is topped off with the final diagnosis. The comparison of both of the diagnostics, where it is showed a very positive shift, it illustrates the influence of Personal and Social Education in the class climate. Využití EEG biofeedbacku při práci s dětmi s poruchami pozornosti / Utilization of EEG biofeetback in work with childern who suffers attention deficit disorder

Subject of the thesis was focused on the utilization of EEG biofeedback for children with an Attention deficit disorder. The objective was to draw attention to one of the possible therapy methods for Attention deficit disorder and describe the EEG biofeedback in relation with it. The theoretical part addresses the attention disorders, their diagnostics, methods of treatment and the EEG biofeedback. The practical part describes use of the EEG biofeedback in work with children with the Attention deficit disorder through a qualitative research by means of in-depth semi-structured interviews. The interviews were handled from the viewpoint of a parent with a child having the attention disorder and from the view of a professional from a specialized institution. The results of the research on the examined cases show that this method of therapy may be effective not only in relation with the attention disorders, but it could also be used for other diagnosis.

Písemné projevy u žáků 3. a 5. ročníků v diagnostických diktátech / Written expressions of pupils at the 3rd and 5th graders in diagnostic dictation

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of written expression of pupils in relation to their region and the type of schools in which they are educated. It also deals with spelling skills of pupils with specific developmental disorders of scholastic skills. The theoretical part summarizes the findings relating to the development of writing skills. It describes two basic developmental models, as well as the diagnostics of spelling. The research part consists of two assessment methods such as the quantitative methodology and the qualitative research methods which summarize the level of spelling skills contained in the research sample. The diagnosis revealed that both of the assessment methods are reliable and comparable for the diagnosis of the specific developmental disorders of scholastic skills and their outputs. The research revealed lower scores amongst pupils in the region who were included in the conducted tests used for the research. This research helped to define similarities and differences in spelling skills between socially disadvantaged pupils and pupils with specific developmental disorders of scholastic skills. Souvislost jazykových schopností a rozvoje čtení - porozumění čtenému / Connecting Language Skills and Reading Development - Reading Comprehension

Our research follows up longitudinal study of doc. PhDr. Gabriela Seidlová Málková, Ph.D. on Faculty of humanities, Charles University. In the years 2010-2012 four subsequent research of 127 preschool children age 3,5 - 5,5 years took place. In 2017 we succeeded in searching for 40 children attending at that time 5th class in elementary school. We captured current abilities of that children, especially reading. Our interest was to investigate decoding and reading comprehension. In agreement with previous research results we found out, that reading comprehension relates statistically significantly to decoding skill, listening comprehension, vocabulary, language awareness and nonverbal intelligence (all in elementary school). Based on the tests in nursery school, we divided children to three groups, and we described two outer - more (Comparative group) and less (Deficit group) language equipped. We traced reading profiles of these two groups in elementary school (5th grade). Thesis entitled Diagnosis of children with different mother tongue in preschool age deals with the issue of diagnosis of children with different mother tongue in preschool age, specifically deals with approaches, methods and possibilities of diagnosing children with different mother tongue in preschool age. Thesis focuses on the diagnosis of the development of a child of preschool age, outlines the diagnosis of a child in kindergarten, and especially describes and charts the methods and procedures for diagnosing these children in pedagogical-psychological counseling. The aim of this thesis is to clarify these issues, describe the legislative basis for the education and support of children with different mother tongue in preschool age and the specifics of these children. The diploma thesis focuses on the issue of evaluating the learning processes of preschool children. The aim of the diploma thesis is to examine the possibilities of implementing the Learning Stories method in Czech preschool education. The method serves as a tool for documentation, evaluation and support of children's learning in kindergarten and is one of the methods of formative evaluation that are used in preschool education abroad. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part characterizes preschool age and its specifics, analyzes the patterns of learning of the child and current approaches to pedagogical diagnostics, its types, methods, means and anchoring in the Framework Educational Program for Preschool Education. Provides key information about the Learning Stories method. The empirical part sets the goals of the research and its methodology.
