No. of bitstreams: 1 Aluisio Ferreira de Lima.pdf: 2702727 bytes, checksum: a6ff411adc139f9df14b140afaccddc7 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2009-06-22 / This is a thesis of Critical Social Psychology which main focus was to unveil, based on the theory of identity proposed by Antonio da Costa Ciampa expressed in the identitymetamorphosis- emancipation sintagma, how the construction of the mentally ill character occurs considering the recognition of different social actors and the relation set with the mental health discourse proposed by the psychiatric reform. The research was divided into tree named routes: historical route, theoretical route, empirical route. In the first route we make a presentation of the historical development of the dual normal/pathological conception, which culminated in the construction of the assumed identity of the mentally ill, and analyze this development in light of the different institutional articulations and policies (especially the relationship between psychiatry and Social Psychology) legitimized from laws and decrees that allowed the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform. Then, we point out how the theory of identity proposed by Ciampa is inserted in the tradition of Critical Social Psychology and cross the contribution of critical theory, especially the habermasian theory. All this to think about the conditions for human emancipation to unveil the strong investment of technical and psychological discourses suffered by the identity and which produce fetishized characters sustained by perverse recognition. Then, we bring the life history narratives of Ana, Gabriel and Francisco, which offered evidence of how individuals have appropriated the discourse of mental illness to organize and represent their identities today. In this moment, which point out that we can not cynically sustain, by using the discourse of mental illness from an anti-asylum politics, that we are enabling the empowerment of individuals. We need to adopt a post-conventional recognition (parallax view) to not reproduce perverse recognition / Essa é uma tese de Psicologia Social Crítica, cujo foco principal foi explicitar, a partir da teoria de identidade proposta por Antonio da Costa Ciampa expressada no sintagma identidade-metamorfose-emancipação, como ocorre a construção da personagem doente mental a partir do reconhecimento de diferentes atores sociais, e a relação que essa personagem estabelece com o discurso da saúde mental proposto pela reforma psiquiátrica. Dividimos a pesquisa em três capítulos denominados: itinerário histórico, itinerário teórico, itinerário empírico. No primeiro itinerário fazemos uma apresentação histórica do desenvolvimento da concepção dualista normal/patológico, que culminou na construção da identidade pressuposta do doente mental, e analisamos esse desenvolvimento à luz das diferentes articulações institucionais e políticas (principalmente a relação entre a Psiquiatria e Psicologia Social) legitimadas a partir de leis e decretos que possibilitaram a Reforma Psiquiátrica brasileira atual. Em seguida, assinalamos como a teoria de identidade proposta por Ciampa se insere na tradição da Psicologia Social Crítica e atravessa as contribuições da Teoria Crítica, principalmente a habermasiana, para pensar as condições de emancipação humana, a ponto de desvelar como a identidade sofre fortes investidas dos discursos técnico-psicológicos, que produzem personagens fetichizadas sustentadas por um reconhecimento perverso. Na seqüência trazemos as narrativas da história de vida de Ana, Gabriel e Francisco, que nos ofereceram elementos para evidenciar como os indivíduos têm se apropriado do discurso de doença mental para organizar e representar suas identidades atualmente. Nesse momento, assinalamos que não podemos mais sustentar cinicamente que, ao utilizar o discurso de doença mental a partir de uma política de identidade antimanicomial, estamos possibilitando a emancipação dos indivíduos, sendo necessário que adotemos um reconhecimento pós-convencional (visão em paralaxe), para não reproduzirmos reconhecimentos perversos
