Průzkum a definice mezních parametrů ohybu u stabilizačních tyčí automobilu / Investigation and bending limits definition for tubular stabilizer bars

Poljak, Peter January 2013 (has links)
Submitted master’s thesis deals with rotary draw bending of tubes as a subprocess of automobile’s stabilizer bar production. The main goal of the thesis is to clarify the influence of the process parameters of the bend on the resulting shape and properties of the product. Submitted thesis includes theoretical description of the chosen tube bending technology, description of defects and possibilities of their removal. The description of the bending machine used for stabilizer bars production is done afterwards. Practical part of the thesis includes experiments clarifying influence of parameters on the resulting shape of the stabilizer bar.

Validity Studies on the "Draw-a-Group" Projective Technique for Measuring Interpersonal Responsiveness

Lummus, Ona Sue 06 1900 (has links)
As with all psychodiagnostic tests, before the "Draw-a-Group" can be considered a valuable instrument to the clinician, some basis for validity must be set. Although some research has been done on the "Draw-a-Group," sufficient validity has yet to be established. It is the purpose of this research to attempt to further establish the validity of the "Draw-a-Group." A related purpose is to attempt to further clarify which factors are related to interpersonal responsiveness.

The Draw-A-Person Technique as a Measure of Sexual Conflict

Caspary, Arthur Courtney 01 1900 (has links)
Since much of the existing research which points to the low validity of the Draw-a-Person technique has used differentiation of diagnostic categories as a criterion, this study will be restricted to a consideration of the Draw-a-Person technique as a means for discriminating between a group of individuals who manifest conflicts in the area of sexual adjustment and a control group which does not show these conflicts in any appreciable amount.

Criminal and unemployment indexes are growing in the city of Londrina, concerning low outcome population, or better, families that receive less thantwo salaries a month. Due to this reality, it is necessary to come up with occupation alternatives to the youth, searching for the development of a profile more adequated with their social engagement, and for the development of specific abilities that could motivate and serve as diferrential skills for their professional future. For all these reasons, it was proposed on Marista Irmão Acácio Social Center, at the city of Londrina, the project Reciclar Recriando a Vida. Having as objectives the valorization of life and the promotion of self-esteem, the project worked on the creation of fashion draw products. As a result of this work, the utilization of language resources formulated a particular metodology wich was adequated to the profile of young people wich was attended. The fasion draw, the human body draw and the fashion language promoted the development of abilities that favor the social and cultural trends, the search for a identity and the path to the suitable conditions through social draw or social technology.

Interpersonal Responsiveness as a Function of Self-Concept

Olson, Robert E. 08 1900 (has links)
This study considers the relationship between scores on the "Experimental Draw-A-Group Projective Technique for Measuring Interpersonal Responsivenesss" (DAG), and self-concept as indicated by scores on the Tennessee Self Concept Scale (TSCS). The study assumes a significantly positive relationship between interpersonal responsiveness and self-concept. The study further seeks to establish sound empirical data to justify the use of the DAG scale in the research of self-concept.

The Simulation of Basic Billiard Techniques and the Analysis of Frictional Force

Hsu, Yao-wen 02 July 2010 (has links)
The objective of this thesis is to explore how human beings manipulate their dexterous operation skills to produce follow shot, stop shot, and draw shot while playing billiard. According to basic mechanics, the forces exerted on a billiard ball are analyzed in three different conditions. They include the cue stick hitting the cue ball, collision between the cue ball and the object ball, and the interaction between the ball and the surface. Mathematical models for those three fundamental techniques: the follow shot, the stop shot, and the draw shot, are developed by incorporating the rolling resistance. The friction between the surface and the ball, and the dent on the surface due to the mass of the ball are considered. Furthermore, reverse derivations are also implemented to solve initial hitting conditions between the cue stick and the cue ball for certain final states for the cue ball and the object ball. Computer simulations in virtual reality are conducted using the 3D Studio Max 8 software tool. Opinions from billiard experts are also collected for the purpose of verification. Based on simulation results, reversed derivation can accurately predict final states of the cue ball and the object ball for both stop shot and draw shot. However, for the case of follow shots, final position of the object ball cannot be fully determined. Besides, no unique solution exists for the hitting condition in all three types of shot.

The Draw-A-Person: group differences among individuals with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Tourette Syndrome, and normal controls

Burch, Wendy A. 01 November 2005 (has links)
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the differences among the human figure drawings (HFDs) of individuals diagnosed with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Tourette Syndrome (TS), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Normal Controls. Males and females (N=161), ranging in age from 7.0 to 58.9 years, diagnosed with OCD, TS, ADHD, and individuals with no diagnosis were administered the Draw-A-Person (DAP; Machover, 1949), a human figure drawing task. Analyses were conducted to evaluate relationships between several variables: sex of participant, age, detail, emotional indicators, symptom severity, and sex of figure drawn. Results provided support for the hypothesis that males would draw a same sex figure more often than females, and that males would include more anxiety indicators than females. Results also provided support for the hypothesis that younger participants would include more unusual characteristics in HFDs, although the variance explained was minimal. The hypothesis that symptom severity would influence HFD characteristics was not supported, nor was the hypothesis that sex of participant would influence inclusion of detail. Several of the regression analyses of the smaller clinical groups were statistically significant, yet these results should be interpreted with caution due to the small number of cases used for the analysis.
