Nitrogen, isobutane, isobutylene and 2,2,3,3-tetramethylbutane are the only products found in the thermal decomposition of 2,2'-azoisobutane. They are the results of the direct free radical dimerization and disproportionation. Ratio of the rate constants of disproportionation to dimerization was found to be 1.9 at 268°C and 4.5% azobutane in helium. This compared with Blackham and Eatough's value of 1.4 at 243°C and 3.6 at 290°C with 4% azobutane in helium. The ratio of the disproportionation to dimerization increased with an increase in temperature. A change in contact time affected the ratio at lower reaction temperatures but had little effect on it at higher temperatures. The contact times used were between three and seven seconds. Research would be useful at lower contact times.

This study was made in an attempt to analyze qualitatively the reaction products formed when chlorosulfonic acid reacts with 2, 2, 4-trimethylpentane.

Introduktion: Diabetes mellitus typ 2 är en kronisk sjukdom där egenvård är en stor del av behandlingen. Genom god egenvård kan både akuta och framtida komplikationer motverkas. Syfte: Att belysa personers upplevelser av att leva med diabetes mellitus typ 2. Metod: Litteraturstudie med 7 artiklar som togs fram genom databaserna CINAHL och PubMed. Artiklarna framkom genom en urvalsprocess med kvalitetsgranskning. Resultat: Resultatet framställs i 3 huvudkategorier: upplevelse av acceptans med underkategorierna ”jag är inte min sjukdom” och ”mitt ansvar”, upplevelse av negativa tankar med underkategorin ” upplevelse av rädsla”. Slutsats: Att leva med diabetes mellitus typ 2 gav upphov till flera olika upplevelser. Egenvård är huvudbehandlingen i diabetes, därför det viktigt att den följs för att undvika komplikationer i tidigt skede. Det ansågs skrämmande att komplikationer kunde uppkomma och de fanns alltid närvarande i tankarna hos informanterna vilket ledde till att de kände ansvar både inför sig själv men även sin omgivning.

The thesis, "General Sikorski and the Polish Government in Exile 1939-43: A Study of Polish Internal Émigré Politics in Wartime", seeks to examine the impact of Polish 'domestic' politics on wartime diplomacy in exile. Foreign policy naturally dominated the exile agenda, but this thesis considers the extent to which internal politics affected the Polish government's ability to pursue its wartime and post-war aims. The thesis considers whether internal divisions in exile and in the Polish resistance undermined national unity and diverted attention away from the war effort to the anticipated power-struggle after liberation. It assesses the degree to which domestic opposition hampered Sikorski's ability to achieve rapprochement with the USSR, the contribution his critics in the Polish army and wartime administration made to the collapse of his Soviet strategy and the extent to which Sikorski's policies failed because they constituted too blatant a contradiction of what the majority of Poles perceived as national traditions or national interests. It also considers whether his inability to impose his vision of post-war Poland on his compatriots destroyed the prospects of a new era of Polish- Soviet relations after liberation. Within this context, the thesis argues the impact of national history and tradition on exile foreign and 'domestic' policy. It assesses the consequences of key features of Polish interwar politics and society on politics in exile. It also examines the general nature of 'politics in exile', the interplay of Polish exile 'domestic' and foreign policy, and the nature and consequences of Sikorski's leadership. Sikorski came to power with a unique opportunity to unite the Poles in the fight for liberation. This thesis examines the impact on Polish history and the history of the Second World War of his failure to achieve this aim.
