The first article ? entitled ?Work-family conflict in executives: a systematic review from 2009 to 2014? ? covers an international systematic review of the literature and aimed to present a literature review of national and international scientific publications on the work-family conflict in executives from 2009 to 2014. The second article ? entitled ?The relation between work and family conflict, addition to work, engagement and turnover intention in Brazilian executives: an exploratory study? ? had as main objective to evaluate the conflict between work and family in executives, taking as starting point the analysis combined with the variables of engagement and turnover. Finally, the third article ? entitled ?Work-family conflict and coping strategies in female executives: a qualitative study? ? aimed to understand, in an extended way, the occurrence of the phenomena in female executives in southern Brazil, as well as to understand the coping strategies used to face this conflict. In the first article, we evaluated 13 articles selected from three different indexed bases: PsycINFO, Peri?dicos CAPES e Scopus. The results show that the literature is mostly comprised of quantitative articles from America with emphasis in the area of Exact Sciences. There is also a shortage of research that proposes organizational action to reduce the conflict between work and family. The second article, using a quantitative method, was carried out with the participation of 275 professionals (65.4% male) in executive career, who answered an online instrument with questions for profile characterization, and scales to evaluate the work-family conflict, addiction, and engagement at work. The data was submitted to descriptive analysis through the network model, and path analysis. Main results allows us to conjecture that the increase in overwork (a dimension of work addiction) has a strong influence in the conflict between work and family, especially in the family sphere, which leads professionals to develop greater intention to voluntarily leave their organizations, and reduced engagement. Moreover, the article reveals that such incidence has different impacts between men and women. To contextualize the incidence of the differences in the experience of men and women in face of the conflict between work and family, the third qualitative article had the participation of five women residing in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre, in their entirety married and in an executive career. Data collection took place through a focal group and, subsequently, the categories defined a priori were analyzed according to their content. Results show that women have mostly difficulty reconciling the role of mother and worker. Regarding the coping strategies, those focused on the organizational context are perceived as highly effective. Both articles intend to subsidize new studies and designs in order to establish actions to promote and prevent the vicissitudes brought by the constant conflict between work and family experienced by executives, thus benefiting executives, companies and families.
