Theme of the Master degree – Lithuania teachers‘ unions influence on the education changes process. The theme is relevant, as it seeks to value teachers‘ unions influence on the education changes process. Teachers‘ unions activities in Lithuania have not been researched. In this paper is analysed how education changes process, education policy‘s usefulness depends on social organizations‘ involvement into this process. Namely teachers‘units, unifying teachers, who directly participate in education process, can help education politics to make rational decisions and to prompt teachers to improve, play up public not only in the direct work, but also creating education policy. Problem of the research. Education is related with permanent changes process, therefore Lithuania‘s general training marks, quality characteristics, activity‘s usefulness, teachers‘ improvement and certification are revised. In this plane also centralization/decentralization process, functions‘ distribution among separate education links questions and another group of the questions – teachers‘ work conditions, payments and etc. It is necessary to involve as many participants as possible into education policy‘s creation, to develop social dialogue. Kaita, tobulinimas, efektyvumas – vieni iš dažniausiai šiandieninėje švietimo retorikoje pasitaikančių žodžių. Jie atskleidžia dabartines švietimo tendencijas. Taigi, nuolatinė kaita ir mokymosi veiksmingumas – būdingiausi postmodernios mokyklos bruožai. Teorinėje dalyje aptariamas pokyčių valdymo procesas ugdymo institucijoje, remiantis moksline kaitos samprata ir analizuojamais švietimo dokumentais. Antrame skyriuje mokyklos tobulinimas apibrėžiamas, kaip planingos švietimo kaitos būdas. Tyrimo objektas – pedagogų požiūris ir nuostatos, vertinant dalyvavimą tobulinant ugdymo instituciją. Darbo tikslas – išnagrinėti bendrojo lavinimo mokyklų pedagogų dalyvavimo mokyklos tobulinimo procese ypatumus ir galimybes. Pateikiamas tyrimas yra aktualus, nes svarbu nustatyti, kaip pedagogai prisideda prie ugdymo institucijos veiklos tobulinimo. Pedagogų dalyvavimo tobulinant ugdymo institucijos veiklą tyrimas atliktas dešimtyje bendrojo lavinimo mokyklų. / Changes, development, efficiency is a frequent subject of discussion in the sphere of education today. It speaks about the new tendencies in education nowadays. Constant development and learning efficiency are the main features of the postmodern school. The theoretical part throws light on the management of the developing changes in the educational institution on the grounds of the scientific understanding of shifts and changes and on the basis of educational documents. In chapter 2 the development of school is defined as a planned way of changing. The aim of the survey is the teachers' attitude towards the evaluation of their involvment in the development of the educational institution. The aim of the work is to analyse the peculiarities and facilities of teachers' involvment in the school development process. The survey is relevant, as it is important to estimate the teachers' input in the school development process. The survey was carried out in ten comprehensive schools.
