It also recognizes that said networks will built the visibility spaces constructed by society, and disputed by historic actors, that generates symbolic production. As a central objective, this work aims to investigate if there were changes to the production of meaning on the part of the electorate starting with the television propaganda during the 2016’s Mayor elections in Goiânia and if they could be better understood, as a communicational event, under the light of Braga’s (2011) interactional devices, and concludes by proposing an activation element in communicational processes attached to said devices. In depth interviews, in two groups before and after the HGPE programs, were used as a qualitative research tool investigating the candidates, Mayor and municipal management’s public image and the changes occurred in the process.

Slovenské politické strany a volby 2016 / The Slovak political parties and the elections in 2016

Marjenka, Ján January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis is focused on the topic of cleavages and their development in the Slovakian party system and society. The thesis chronologically interprets the evolution from the year 1990 until the current years, specifically until the 2016 election. In the beginning, the Slovakian party system and society were split up, similarly to other post-communist countries going from communism to anticommunism. When this topic is solved, other traditional cleavages come to mind as they are as well described by classical theoreticians. These cleavages can be activated by themselves, or become less important through time and social and political development. Other studies or thesis of Slovakian authors prove this idea. This known development is usually only addressed until the year 2012, that is why the main aim of this thesis is to analyze, continue with other results and find out how the situation regarding this issue has evolved before the election in 2016. It is important to analyze cleavages and other topics which divide the society and political parties from the point of view of the effect the cleavages have on the stability of the party system. It influences the number of them and the relationships between them which can be cumulative or cross cutting. Since then it is possible to determine...

Abdelaziz, Remag 12 1900 (has links)
For several decades, Canada has been trying to implement policies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, with the aim of combating climate change. This issue has gained in importance for voters to such an extent that all parties, regardless of their political orientation, must now address it during electoral campaigns. This master thesis looks at the 2019 Canadian federal elections in order to analyze the way in which political parties of different ideological orientations framed the issue of climate change. It is essential to understand that the issue of climate change was an unavoidable issue during these elections. In this sense, the Liberal Party, the Conservative Party, the Green Party, the Bloc Québécois and the New Democratic Party had to converge on this issue and frame it in order to maximize their gains (or minimize their losses). In order to analyze the frameworks favored by political parties of different ideological orientations to discuss climate change in Canada, a content analysis will be carried out on the electoral platforms of the main parties during the 2019 federal election in Canada. This thesis , mainly based on the concepts of convergence, framing and political ideology, revealed that despite the general convergence of political parties in addressing the issue of climate change, notable distinctions emerged. Indeed, depending on their ideological orientations, political parties have adopted distinct approaches to addressing the climate issue. Thus, our results demonstrated on the one hand that the issue of climate change has truly become a major issue in Canadian politics. On the other hand, they highlighted the fact that all political parties tried to respond to these challenges caused by this issue while respecting their ideological orientations.
