Investície podniku automobilového priemyslu do kovov ako strategických surovín / Investments of Automotive Industry in Metals as Strategic Materials

Kubík, Ján January 2020 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the fundamental analysis of selected metals as commodities, for use in the production of batteries for electric vehicles, to hedge against changes in the price of physical raw materials. Selected metals are analyzed based on the fundamental parameters, historical price development and the current situation on the commodity market. Based on these fundamental data, a recommendation is formulated for the method of hedging the prices of selected commodities.

How to manage the barriers for a transition toward electromobility in the truck manufacturing industry : A study of the Southeast Asia region

Lindström, Caroline, Storckenfeldt, Carl January 2023 (has links)
Purpose – The purpose of this study is to enhance the understanding about the barriers to electrifying the truck industry in Southeast Asia. It is also to identify the main barriers of the electrification of the truck market in Southeast Asia and how they can be managed.  Method – The study uses an exploratory single-case study approach, the research relied on the collection of qualitative data from semi-structured interviews conducted with 18 participants. The data collected was analyzed with an abductive analysis approach by using a thematic analysis where codes, sub-themes and themes were identified.  Findings – The findings of the study were mainly that there is a need to work with public affairs to get the government to invest in ‘charging infrastructure’ and get financial support such as subsidies or carbon taxes. The organizations in the industry must also collaborate to create a driving force to make the transition possible by sharing knowledge and investing in new technology. We also concluded that there is a need to create awareness about the importance of sustainability and why electric trucks are a needed product. There is also a need to spread knowledge about the product itself to reduce the ‘operational reliability’ that exists among the people in the markets.  Research limitation/implications - The case study was a single case study and was conducted on a specific truck manufacturing company and its stakeholders in a particular region. This may have limited the study, as the challenges may vary for different companies. The study contributes to the electrification of trucks and challenges of sustainable innovations literature with enhanced knowledge about how to manage the barriers to enable the transition to electric trucks in Southeast Asia. It also provides barrier management guidance for truck manufacturing companies that operate in the region.    Originality/value - The study contributes an increased understanding of the barriers to the electrification of trucks in Southeast Asia and how they can be managed to speed up the transition.

Transdisziplinäre Produktentwicklung am Beispiel eines elektrisch getriebenen innerstädtischen Servicefahrzeugs

Glatzel, Gerhard 31 May 2018 (has links) (PDF)
Elektromobilita - trh a potenciál na území České republiky / Electromobility – market and potential in Czech Republic

Krausová, Liliana January 2017 (has links)
This master thesis deals with electromobility - market and potential in Czech Republic. The objective is to evaluate the situation and development of electromobility in Czech Republic via qualitative and quantitative research. That includes potential customers as well as owners of electric cars, operators of charging points, distributors of electricity, car manufactures and ministries. The basis is the comparison with leading countries in electromobility, including sales of electric cars, infrastructure and state incentives. The thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part introduces innovations and challenges in electromobility and key factors of its success. The second part is analyzing details about individual countries empirically and via personal interviews with experts. Finally a complete overview of reasons and barriers for buying an electric car are presented together with building charging stations, a SWOT for electric cars, its infrastructure and timeline of perspective for the development of electromobility in the Czech Republic until 2030 with a recommendation of target groups for Porsche Česká republika, s.r.o.. It was found, that the situation of electromobility in Czech Republic is satisfactory and that the price is the main motive (cost savings) and barrier (price of the car) for the short-term growth. Electromobility will be developing in Czech Republic and has a great potential.

Impact of New Technologies in Energy on Households / Vliv nových technologií v energetice na domácnosti

Novák, Dominik January 2015 (has links)
This masters thesis aims to assess and evaluate the potential of home based energy storage systems for the final user. In theoretical part it therefore describes the historical development of the European power sector with the purpose of determining, what was the impact of this development on products offered by energy providers to the final consumers of electricity. Findings from this analysis are then used to design a model, which is introduced and described in the practical part of the masters thesis. This model is afterwards used to assess the profitability of home batteries implementation by three different types of households and also to determine, what are the key drivers and constraints for the adoption of energy storage systems by households.

Ekonomická a environmentální analýza využití elektromobility v osobní přepravě v České republice / Economic and Environmental Analysis of using electromobility in the Czech Republic

Sikyta, Adam January 2012 (has links)
This Diploma thesis deals with utilization of electric driven cars in Czech Republic. There are two cardinal aspects of this research. Firstly I would like to give an answer if expansion of electric driven cars could help Czech Republic with greenhouse gas emission reduction. This goal will be achieved by quantitative analysis when four different scenarios of electric driven cars expansion will be calculated. Result of this analysis will be affected by several significant aspects. The most important aspect is structure of Czech energy mix which influences environmental friendliness of using electric driven car. Outcome of this analysis will tell us if we should support electric driven cars expansion in Czech Republic. Finally Diploma thesis proves that it is possible to use electric driven vehicles as a tool for greenhouse gas emission reduction in Czech conditions. Second important aspect related with electromobility is the financial competitiveness to combustion engine driven car. In this case the goal of analysis will be set as comparative analysis of lifecycle costs. Social external costs (as greenhouse gas emissions) will be included to the analysis as well. Result of this analysis tells us what type of power drive in passenger car is financially preferable.
