Podnikatelský plán / Business plan

The goal of this thesis is to create a business plan for a new company that will provide outdoor lasergame and escape game and serves to evaluate a feasibility and functionality of the chosen business idea. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, things related to the business and creating business plan are further described. Following practical part deals with detailed business plan, which is written according to structure mentioned in the theoretical part. The first step was to describe the business opportunity, to present goals, to analyze market, competition and suppliers and to present the marketing and business strategy together with the financial plan. In conclusion, the project is evaluated and will be realized in July 2017.

Im Juli 2022 startet auf der Burg Mildenstein das Escape-Game »Der Schatz des Einäugigen«. Mittels einer analog-digitalen Schnitzeljagd durchrätseln Museumbesucher*innen die Burg, um sich dann final dem Escape-Room zu stellen. Der Beitrag gibt Einblick in die Projektarbeit, das Konzept und die zugrunde liegende Story des Spiels und hebt die Vorteile des Escape-Games als Vermittlungsformat im Bildungsbereich hervor. / Since July 2022 visitors to Mildenstein Castle are able to enjoy taking part in the Escape Game: »The Treasure of the One-Eyed Prince«. The game is a part-analogue, part-digital treasure hunt by means of which visitors can gain entry to the Escape Room itself. The following text gives an insight into the work of the project, the concept and to the story that lies behind it. It also highlights the value of the Escape Game format as an effective educational medium.

This thesis focuses on strategic analysis of the company Adventure World s. r. o. operating escape games in Prague. The goal of the thesis is to suggest strategic recommendations for further company development. The theoretical part deals with defining basic terminology and describing process of strategy formulation. In the practical part analytical tools described earlier are applied to analysis. In order to analyze external environment, the PEST framework is used. To illustrate the industry environment, 5 competitive forces analysis, map of strategic groups is used. In examining the internal firms conditions, the strategic resources and capabilities are identified through the value chain framework. Analyses findings are summarized in SWOT matrix, then strategy alternatives are generated. In conclusion, the author suggests the wording of the organization mission and updated vision, strategic goals, then author specifies actions, that are meant to fulfill those goals.

There is a growing demand for leisure activities that will not only offer entertainment as such, but also broaden the horizons of participants in various areas. In their free time, people look not only for rest, but also for new challenges and stimuli, on which they test their skills and ability to respond to new situations. These activities include, for example, escape games. Escape games usually require skill, knowledge and logical thinking to succeed. The game created in this work is composed of physical puzzles. Except one, all puzzles are based on problems that primary school students already face in physics classes. Puzzles combine concepts that were voiced at school with practical examples. Participants can try out for themselves how things work and solve puzzles with the help of physics. The work contains detailed instructions so that potential candidates know how to prepare the game. This project aims to find how, why and by which means the sense of smell can create meaningful interactions in the field of escape rooms, by taking a main role in the interactions that occur in said games, by adding an additional layer of complexity and embodiment. The project finished with the finding that it is not only possible to create meaningful interactions and expand on the possibilities of smell interaction, but also by encouraging future exploration and discussion of the sense of smell as an interactive medium and material.
