Uría Guerrero, Carlos Alberto 10 December 2018 (has links)
Introduction: The Educational Climate is an important aspect in the academic formation of the students. It could be measured with the Dundee Ready Education Environment Measure (DREEM), and the scale is divided in five groups. Aim: To adapt culturally and to validate the DREEM's Peruvian version. Methods: In 2016 a cross-sectional analytic study was realized in Peruvian medical students. Likewise, the instrument was culturally adapted by the Delphi method. Moreover, the internal consistency evaluated the reliability, the intra-observer reliability (test re-test) and the inter-observer reliability (intraclass correlation coefficient). The validity of the instrument was determined through construct validity. Finally, a confirmatory factor analysis was performed. Results: A total of 634 participants were included; 385 from third year and 249 from fourth year. Age mean was 21.49; 2.13. A culturally adapted instrument was obtained with a high internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha: 0.93), with intraclass correlation coefficient of 0.91 and the confirmatory factor analysis had a comparative fit index (CFI) values of 0.741, Tucker-Lewis index (TLI) of 0.728 and root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) of 0.062. Conclusions: The DREEM's Peruvian version is a valid and reliable instrument to be used in the Peruvian sphere. / Tesis
